She may not want to mix work with pleasure. I would not carry on a personal conversation with anyone at work. I would not want my coworkers to know that much about my personal life. Too many rumors get started that way.

What do you talk about when you're alone with her? Maybe, she wants to tell you that she likes you but is afraid of what your officemates might think or say. Ask her out for coffee.
