Mainly, do you need teaching experience to get a job teaching in the peace corps? What are my options with just a B.A.?

I went in fresh out of college, back in 1970, with just a BA. Part of my 3-months training was teacher training. You'd have a better chance with 1 - 3 years under your belt, but you'd also have put down roots, (steady partner, spouse, car, house, boat . . .) so it would be harder to go.

If you can afford to stay another year and get a credential, that would be the ideal, to my mind.

I believe that the vast majority of Peace Corps volunteers are recent college graduates with little or no work experience.
