It means a lack of belief in a god or gods, and in a broader sense a lack of belief in the supernatural, so I would say yes. Realize, of course, that 'seeing' should be taken to mean with our extended senses, such as through a telescope or microscope, or through logical reasoning itself.

No, not necessarily. At the most base level it just means that a person does not believe there is any proof or justification that a divine entity exists. It doesn't mean that someone believes only what can be held or witnessed directly. That's just one of the many aspects as to why atheists don't believe in divinity.

No Being an Atheist means you totally deny the existence of Gods and Goddesses....Just like you do. Except when it comes to your personal choice you choose to believe in one.

It simply means that we don't believe in god(s). There are tons of things we can't physically see yet have evidence so for all purposes we believe they exist. Though this belief is very flexible and new evidence can change our stances on our views of its existence.

For instance we can't SEE electricity (most of the time) yet, we have enough evidence to comfortably believe in it's existence

The pictures are not seen by the eyes. Light travels along optic nerves and the pictures are "seen" in the brain. So how can you base anything on sight?

This is what I believe but wether that makes me an athiest...who cares. Put it this way I have more faith in a cardboard box, it has far more practical uses and when it breaks you just get another, thats how I explain what I am.....athiest, no , realist, probably.
