Don't use pick up lines! Girls don't really respect them. The best one would be somehing like
* Would you like a drink?
or you could say something like:
* I think I know you from somewhere before, have you ever.....(fill in the blank here, but make sure you have a genuine reason for using this one)
The best way to break the ice is to be genuine, polite and most of all, to be yourself. You don't need daft chat-up lines to be successful.
If have heard some pretty cringe-worthy ones before:
* I service drinks machines, and I've come to grind your beans
* My name's Eric, and I've got a big eric
* Can I put a tiger in your tank?

off course all of the above are not what to say, but when i met my fiancee i seen her in the bar, right away fancied her socks off went over to her and said "c'mon you buying me a drink or what, i'm dying of thirst here" she had been checking me out as well as it happened. 4 hours later were doing the nasty, 3 years later were still together. if i had used any sort of cheesy line on her we would never have gotten together. a bit of cheek got me a lifetime of happiness.

A mate of mine from uni went up to a girl in a bar and said 'you don't sweat much for a fat bird' - they went home together - I don't suggest you try it though.
He also got a 2 year relationship from saying - 'I am gonna lick my finger and then stick it in your ear' then he did it - as I said they were together for 2 years - give it a go.

lick your finger wipe it on your love interest's shoulder and say 'do you need a hand getting out of those wet clothes'
hand him/her a 20p piece (or your mobile phone) and say 'phone your mum and tell her you're not coming home tonight'
they are both pretty corny/cheesy but i think they are fun!
