Do you think Royal Caribbean is better??

I have been on three Carnival cruises and have one more booked at this time. I have been on two Royal Caribbean Cruises and have two more booked at this time.

Carnival and Royal Caribbean (RCI) are very similar. Comparing the two:

1) Both lines are family friendly.
2) Both lines attract a younger active demographic.
3) Service on both lines is about the same.
4) All of Carnival's ships have a water slide that an adult would be happy to use. None of the RCI ships have a water slide that an adult would use.
5) All of the RCI ships have a rock climbing wall. None of the Carnival ships have one.
6) I think the food on Carnival is a little better than the food on RCI.
7) The biggest RCI ships (the Voyager and Freedom class) have a lot of options. There are no other cruise ships that can match these ships for options, including Carnival. However, you are sharing the ship with at least 1000 people more than any of the Carnival ships. So the lines for embarkation, debarkation and tendering can be longer.

I enjoy both lines and will continue to book with both lines.

Price of the trips, ports of call...

Royal almost always costs more, sometimes a lot more, and is a lot more gimmicky.
