Mexican semi-truck drivers were given unrestricted access to drive through out the U.S., they don't even have to have their cargo checked. This happened one to two weeks ago. Supposedly the reason the U.S. doesn't even check the cargo is because Mexico does an excellent job at checking the cargo prior to entry into the U.S..

Why aren't people screaming over this? Screw screaming at the illegals that will be flooding in. Remember Dubai Ports World wanting to buy our main ports? Terrorists can now actually flood into the U.S. undetected. If the U.S. government is allowing this, then does this actually mean the War on Terrorism is a sham or that they want terrorists in the country? It sure doesn't seem like the government thinks we have anything to worry about.

This is just a taste of things to come with our economic merge and coming political merge of Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.

Trucks from Mexico are bringing products from and to the US and it is good for the economy. It is the reason why these are not being inspected.

Ok, so why are they still playing the War on Terrorism card. I swear people in our government are lieing too much. Thats why they got such a huge backlash from the American populace from selling out our major ports to Dubai Ports World. Yet there isn't huge backlash from this, which this issue not only includes easy access for terrorists to get into the country but the highly controversial issue about illegal immigrants.

There had to be a media blackout. No other explanation.

I actually crossed the border this morning at Nogales. If they are not checking Mexican trucks, I'd sure like to know what they were doing with all those dozens and dozens of Mexican trucks in a long line, creeping forward and through the huge X-ray machines. I'd have to ask what all the dogs sniffing around those trucks were doing, too, since you insist they were not "checking" those trucks. And of course all the border patrol agents passing long mirrors under trucks weren't looking for anything since those trucks were not being "checked."

I was on a tourist bus this morning, returnning to the US from a vacation in Mexico. Our driver, a young man with 7 years experience driving buses and a young family in Chihuahua, was denied entrance to the US because he could not answer, in English, three of the several questions put to him by an officer of a new agency specifically designed to check Mexican drivers. 28 elderly American tourists had to get off that bus at the border, wait about two hours while vans were found to transport them and their luggage to Tucson. One couple missed their flight home.

And all because a perfectly good driver in an excellent vehicle, who takes great pride in keeping his bus spotless and driving safely and carefully, was trying to do his job. But his English was inadequate to pass a spot test that made him nervous and tongue-tied.

The news media only reports what the are told to report. I have been writing and emailing my Congressman and Senators two /three times a week. I have sent the message out to every person I can find to send it too. If all who respond to or ask questions like this would do the same thing maybe someone will let the news slip out. The NAU is a sell out operation to acquire more power and OIL,a move to furture crush the middle class in the USA. Mexican truckers are being allowed to run in and out of the US with the hopes of reducing the traffic in and out of the USA Ports. Goods can be off loaded at a Mexican port and trucked into the US at far less cost because of cheaper labor and no unions. Write to the news agencies and ask why they won't report on such a critical issue. Who's telling them to not let the people know what's happening. I'm all for letting other folks have a shot at the good life here in the USA but they need to do it legally. Our country is going through a change that is going to destroy everything it ever stood for and it's all beause of the greed of a few in power.

This has all been going on for quite some time now, and the mainstream media is covering *none* of it. Yes, there's a "blackout" of information where they are concerned.

How do I know about it? I read and listen to what some call the "alternative" media - late night radio talk shows, the Internet, blogs, etc. If you tap into those media sources, you'll find that there's been a lot of "buzz" about all of this for quite some time now.

They are in the process of building the I-35 Supercorridor right now. And the NAU (North American Union) will probably be a done deal within the next ten years or so. It's all being done "under the radar" so that it will be finished without any public outcry until it's too late and nothing can be done about it. It's sort of frustrating to watch all of this going on and know what is going to happen, yet the majority of Americans aren't paying attention to it.....

Edit:

What really surprises me is that there isn't more of an outcry from the American trucking industry and our good 'ol boy truck drivers..... They're the ones that are going to be aced out of jobs here in the not-so-distant future. For them, the last of the good-paying, minimal education, blue-collar jobs for average American guys will be gone for good. Mexican drivers working for a fraction of what American truck drivers get now will be hauling all of the loads throughout our country. Most of these blue-collar American guys have already been pushed out of the construction industry, meat processing, and other blue-collar work. Truck driving is on the way out for them too. The moral of the story here if you are young and just starting out is to stay in school and get a good education and learn some real skills - then get into a profession that actually requires an education, professional certification, and very specific knowledge and skills. You will then be less likely to be replaced by manual laborers from third world countries that are willing to work for half of what you are getting. The days of high-paying blue-collar work for Americans is just about over......

Some have been brainwashed to think this is actually good for the economy. It's not the economy I'm worried about, and every citizen of this country that was alive and old enough to experience 9/11 should be concerned too.

All kinds of things can be transported in a semi-truck. Not only could they fit dozens of illegal aliens in the cab, but WMD's could easily be driven right over the border as well. We might as well be handing out invitations and giving them PERMISSION to detonate in a major city.

People want to kill us in case you haven't heard, and we're just making it easy for them. If you want to live, demand this law be repealed NOW.

The way it was put to me is its not that they are not checking them the problem is that they arn't inspecting the trucks and the ones that are coming across definatley are not safe to be driven on our highways but they are checking the contents of the trucks and also as quick as they let them through the Texas State Troopers along with law enforcment from other bordering states are shutting them down and ticketing the hell out of them for operating unsafe equiptment on our highways.

No, no media blackout. People were infuriated. The Senate has voted to stop the insanity and curb the funding, but Congress has not. Dianne Feinstein and others are in arms about this vote. If we aren't alert, things will go back to the way it was. We have to keep the pressure up. As of now, though...the trucks are still coming. Call and write.

There is no media blackout. People only want to hear about Britney and Paris.

This mexican truck thing is how they are going to replace truckers and longshoremen with slave labor. The last of America's blue collar middle class.

As for the bus driver, I'd like to see him drive in Minnesota in a couple of months.

The problem is that most of our major media outlets are controlled by the same people who are backing the NAU and are only giving us fluff entertainment disguised as national news. examples:

OJ is arrested
Tomkat and Bradgelina type stories
Paris Hilton goes to jail, is let out, is back in, is released and gets hair extensions

Tell me how any of that qualifies as national news? Compare how much time CNN devoted to Paris Hilton and how much coverage they gave to NAU type issues.
