Yes, if he knows her exact size.
Most men are uncomfortable doing that, but the sales personal are not going to turn a man away if he wants to buy something. The guy will probably be more embarrassed than anyone else. Women don't think it would be that embarrassing.
Victoria's Secret likes to have males shop because face it they are designing the lingerie for the male to see and get excited by it.
If the guy is too embarrassed to shop in a store, then he can do it on line. Better yet do it on line with the woman so you can get something SHE likes.

I don't see why it is inappropriate. It is a sweet thing to do for a guy to buy lingerie for his wife/girlfriend! It takes a lot of courage for a guy to step into a lingerie shop alone to get lingerie for his love one!!
The salesgirl's responsibility in the shop is to assist in the sales process. She's not there to judge her customers, regardless of gender. Rest assured that you will be treated like how a customer deserves to be treated (with respect).

I used to work at VS and a lot of guys would come in to buy stuff for thier woan. It is very appropiate because women love to get this sort of thing as a gift. As long as you arent like a 13 year old who just comes in to "look" (that happened before at my store haha) then it is fine. If it makes you more comfortable ask one of the sales clerks to help you pick something out, or bring in a friend that is female to help you, I know a lot of guys who would do taht so they dont mess up the size or anything.

no problem at all and don't even be so conscious on how the saleslady would think, ok.
be sure you know the exact size of your wife/gf when you choose the lingery you want to buy.
tip: you'd better go with a buddy friend if you feel shy about this.

They usually don't think anything of it. Husbands sometimes like to buy lingerie for their wife (bf for gf) for special occasions--birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's day, other holidays, or, just because. Several years ago, when it came to birhtdays, etc., my dad would go buy my mom a slip to wear. As a gift.
Take care.

Before we were married, my now husband paid a visit with me to Victoria Secret---it was soooo sexy-- having his help with picking out lingerie---picking things he likes and wants me to wear sexy things for him.

Why would you care about what other people think!?
Go buy them! Besides, the shop assistants are quite used to men buying them anyway, just as women buy undies for men.
