I just had this thought and I wanted to know what people thought of this... serious reply only please :)
Since Abraham, God's people seem to have a knack for screwing things up (all people do I suppose..) so for the longest time Jews foretold of a "savior." So Jesus came, taught, and inspired the new testament...
Now what I don't get it that Muslims are supposed to believe in the Jewish God, Jesus, as God's profit/son AND believe in the teachings of the bible... IF they believe in these things, as I have read true muslims should, than Jesus was indeed supposed to be the last "prophet" before the end of times. Why do they follow Muhammad who basically said "Oh wait, God was wrong, we actually need one more savior.."
I don't get this... could a Muslim or someone with more insight than I please explain?

So Muslims think Jesus lied about being the son of God? I would think that the son of God would be the ultimate messenger of God.... same goes for Jews who thing Jesus was a good man/prophet but not the son of God...if he lied about being god's son I would think that is a pretty big offence...

THE COMFORTER THAT WAS TO COME AFTER JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED AND RISEN IS NOT MUHAMMAD! THE COMFORTER WAS, IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD. NOT A MAN OF SIN.
i AM SO SORRY BUT THE QURAN IS BASED ON THIS DECEPTION.
YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE!

This is where the Muslim and Christian belief vary a great deal. You have stated your opinions and now I will state mine.
Muhammad (PBUH) was not a savior, he was a prophet who brought back the true word of God in the form of the Quran. Quran clearly says that Jesus was not the son of the God, and Muhammad was the last prophet of God.
Edit: Jesus never lied about being the son of God. Some other people did.
He just never claimed to be God's son according to Muslims.

Well, you would be better off asking these questions in an Islamic forum. Search for them in google if you want SERIOUS answers. Coz this place is full of bigots and Islam-haters who would love to spread false information around.
You need to know that Muslims believe that the Bible is corrupted. we believe that Jesus Christ received a revelation which we call 'Injil'(The Gospel). The Bible we have now is not the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. The earliest of the Gospels were written years after the time of Jesus. Who decided what should be written down? They were not written under the guidence of Jesus. Suggesting that they were inspired by the holy spirit is not gonna work because there are around 101 contradictions in the bible.
Two of them are these:
1.God sent his prophet to threaten David with how many years of famine?
Seven (2 Samuel 24:13)
Three (I Chronicles 21:12)
2. How old was Ahaziah when he began to rule over Jerusalem?
Twenty-two (2 Kings 8:26)
Forty-two (2 Chronicles 22:2)
Anyways, who decides what goes into the bible? The Church not JESUS! There are so many gospels which are not included in the bible. The Chatolics have their version and Protestants have their version.
Jesus never said that "He is GOD", or "worship me" in the bible.
In fact he foretold abt Muhammad to his followers.

Who's on God's go to hell list? Is the unbeliever! They are first in line. Muslims believe that Holy Bible is corrupted by the Satan and has no truth at all. Jesus is nothing but a good teacher not divine. Their God is Allah send Mohammad their prophet bring out their truth throughout the world. Quoting from Rose Bible Publications. The "Savior" that the Jews were foretold of was NOT Prophet Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him), but That Savior was Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
There are NO Separate Jewish God, Chrisitan God, Muslim God ... There is Just ONE GOD i.e. ALLAH, GOD of All.
Prophet Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him) was No Doubt One of The Mightiest Prophet of GOD, BUT He Was NOT son of God, 'coz GOD Begets None, GOD is The CREATOR of All.
Muslims Believe that Prophet Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him) was given a Holy Book from GOD i.e. Injeel (which was The Word of GOD), but today's bible is no more Just The Word of GOD, it may contain some Word of GOD, but it also contains Word of Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him), it contains Commentary of Apostles and various scholars, and it even has been CORRUPTED by Men, so much that various Verses Added and Deleted, that it contains fornicating material as well, and so full of Scientific Errors, there are many a version of Bible and NO TWO Bibles are the same, Contradicting Verses in the Bible Itself, so the Original Book of GOD (Injeel) is Lost Forever, and Current Bible Does NOT Remain The Original Word of GOD.
Nowhere, it is said that Prophet Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him) was the Last Prophet. Infact, He Himself once told his Apostles, something like "i have much more to tell you, but you can't encompass it now, you will have to wait for the Comforter who will tell you all those things" [obviously Not the exact words, but somethig like this He said] . . . So, even Prophet Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him) foretold of The Coming of That Comforter, The Last Prophet, Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Honey, Muslims believe that God is one... He's been given different names and different dieties, yet there is only ONE God.
The final prophet wasn't Jesus, Jesus himself told of a coming prophet, Muhammad.
Of course everyone is intitled to their own belief, but since you asked, this is my answer.
Peace.
Edit: What is the guy above really trying to do??? he's been ranting with his rediculous same answer all over the place!
Edit: Wow, wow, wow... Muslims would NEVER claim that Jesus was a liar. But he never said that he was God. Try not to take everything literally.
Peace.

Thats a really good question. Jesus said there would be many false prophets, Mathew 24:11 "and many false prophets will arise and mislead many". However, I am really replying to muhammedlustprophet who has pasted and copied his answer at least three times in the last few minutes. He has not answered your question or any of the others.

no you are able to nevertheless particularly say, top? I mean, technically it replaced into in basic terms a dream your pal had, and all and sundry can interpret it in distinctive methods. yet i might think of a real Muslim does not have faith this dream to be genuine because it replaced into against Islam.
