Alot of people suggest that i let him inside, He is VERY entergetic and knocks my 3 year old son down , I only let him in at night when everyone is asleep , I had no idea he was that bouncy and entergetic when i adopted him , or i wouldnt have gotten him , i honestly believe the shelter had him drugged the day i adopted him

Try the thrift stores.
A large cheap Sterilite or equivalent plastic tub from Walmart or Big Lots may work, too. Cut a door and some windows in the side, and weight the top with bricks to make it harder for him to knock it over.
You should be able to get a big tub from Big Lots for under $15.

You need to give the dog a chance to settle in the house.Of course he's boisterous because he's happy to see you.Take him to obedience classes.Ask the shelter where you got him from if they have classes. If you can't bring him in,and can't afford a doghouse, then the best thing to do is to take him back to the shelter. They probably wouldn't have let you adopt him if they knew he was going to be stuck outside. It's not fair to him to have to live outside.
Edit: In your other question you state that the dog is a Min Pin mix. This type of dog cannot stay outside! Their coats are too thin! I suggest just taking the dog back and waiting for a few years to adopt another, until your son is old enough to handle a dog.

You haven't said how big the dog is, but you could possibly get a small tarp at a discount store and some clothes line and tie it up like a tent. That would give him some shade and a place to get out of the sun. If that's too expensive try getting a large cardboard box from a grocery store and a plastic drop cloth. You can wrap the plastic around the box to keep the rain off it. It should last long enough until you get moved to the new place.
If you're having problems with him being too energetic, you may need to work on getting him to calm down. I was watching "It's me or the dog" the other day and these people had 3 big dogs and a baby. Here's the web site with some training tips:

I hope you got some straw for the doghouse. It is cold outside. I do not have a couch for you to crash on. My BF is kind but not enough to allow you to share my bed.

saving money is so good so instead of spending $40 improvise and buy $15 of wood and make a weekend project for yourself and your husband-boyfriend or man friend to have some to gather time it will mean a lot to the new dogie to be present showing him/her affection while creating a safe place for it to hang out after all a new pet needs that attention starting right away and being introduced to their safe place, new things and new family

If you can't afford $40 for a necessity like shelter for a living dog,.. then why adopt one?
You can probably get one (used dog house) for free if you ask on CraigsList.
I myself, do NOT believe in chaining dogs (have rescued enough tethered dogs) and believe most dogs should be indoors with human companionship.
If you must chain and keep the poor dog outside in the "elements", then surely you could fashion a lean-to with plywood raised on a pallet with heavy rug or straw (don't suggest blankets, etc.,... could tangle and strangle dog with the chain. Or fashion a windproof, leakproof tent of sorts.
Use your imagination.
Easiest is take him inside.

how about some obedience classes and then letting him live inside like a dog should.....with his family?.....if you dont have 40.00 for a dog house how can you afford to properly keep him anyway?friends dont belong chained in the yard........if you cant give him a proper home as much as it hurts me to say this maybe you need to find someone who can .....he deserves better than to live his life in a backyard where you will see him when its convenient for you.......he needs to interact with the child so he learns how to act around him and your son learns the proper way to pet and love a dog.....never leave them unsupervised but please give your dog a chance to be a part of the family too.

Why not try housebreaking him? He will be miserable outside on a chain even if it is temporary. Dogs are not that messy and there really is not a good reason anyone can give not to let their dog live inside.

You don't get a dog to chain it up all day outside for crying out loud. Take the dog to obedience school!!!!!!!!!!

How about free.. You bring the poor dog in the house.. If you are moving anyhow, what's the problem w/ bringing him in?? Why bother getting a dog if he is just to live in the yard anyhow?
