Everyone should check out Iphgeniea's link. It's strange that women, who will dismiss something like this out-of-hand, still insist on making similarly ludicrous generalizations about men.

I just don't know how we came to this place, where women think it's perfectly acceptable to put down men like this... So far, out of eight answers, we've had, men are dogs, men are shallow, men are pigs, and men are perverts...

Admitting ignorance, or having the desire to learn more about others, requires courage.
It's comparatively easier to build up emotional walls, and catapult rocks over (in the form of chauvinistic comments), then to risk hurting someone, or being hurt yourself. Good relationships with other people require time and effort, like success at anything else.
Unfortunately, many people persist in having a relationship consciousness that is no more developed than the average Disney movie. You don't see flying carpets, little mermaids, or talking animals in real life. Yet, the pabulum that good relationships "magically happen" persists, nevertheless.
Hopefully, these supposedly omniscient women (and men) will break out of their comfort zone, and realize how limited their perspective is. But don't count on it.

Because they read those stupid magazines that claim to reveal all the secrets about men. In reality all they are doing is eating up the retarded morsels of shet those two-bit hacks of psychologists squeeze out. The mindless men-sheep are also to blame. They too buy into the popular media presentations of what they should be interested in and how they should think and act. So then they become clones. They become the subjects of analyses by these charlatans writing for these not-even-good-enough for-toilet-paper magazines. It's a vicious cycle.

mate women think they know everything then when they are wrong they blame it on you guys. Women think they have it all worked out think you guys are simple creatures and all the same ... when as you know that is far from the truth dont you think. i quite frankly think you guys are bloody complicated jeez or maybe it is just me, but anyhow when women stop and admit they dont know everything there is to know about men and actually stop and try to understand you guys a bit more and actually listen to you for a change and not assume things then you blokes may get a break, but hey wishfull thinking right..lol.
man dont worry about them some women are just stupid , sorry correction most women are stupid..lol, there days anyhow. Sorry i am not against my own gender or anything but I have a hell of alot of male freinds and just sit back and shake my head when girls mess with there heads. My best advice work long hours and when you come home have a fridge full of beer drowns the nagging out..lol, well thats untill you actually find a reall woman and not waste your time with girls then you may want to come home..lol

I think the ones that say that have either been thru a lot of the same expierences and think that it applies to most men, because of that and because they probably hear the same thing from their friends. The fact is there are two sides to every story. The women usually hear only one side and the men hear the other.
Example: This girl i used to mess with would probably tell you, i hurt her and played her. But i will tell you that I said we were never going to have anything more than a physical relationship. I said that more than once. Just my two cents

Because they've (we've) had a lot of the same experiences over & over & over, with different guys we've dated through-out our lives. I know that not all men fit the "stereotype", but after you've been hurt, in the same manner (or been around enough men to see a lot of them do the same things), we do tend to feel like most men are the same. It's from what we experience in life with the men we come across.

Why would you worry yourself about what some women think? Why not just take time to enjoy life with the other women who "don't think like that".
Does it really upset you that much? Why not just work on yourself and attempt to forget about those women who upset you?
It's more important for you to work on your own happiness rather than obsessing about "some women". Don't you agree?
I mean, I'm not going to obsess about that silly list that was written by that silly little man who thinks he has an understanding about women. Personally, I get the impression he hates women in general and has an obsessive need to control women.
Take care of you first, because no one else will. Best of luck to you.

same reason some men think they know everything about women.
"the hidden truth about girls"

...hah.
**i'd just like to add: generalizing each other based on gender isn't only idiotic, it's ignorant. not all men are "this" way, and not all women are "that" way. women--you haven't been with every man, so your "experience" gives no basis on your judgments about males. and the same should definitely apply to males and their generalizations about women. what makes this problem worse is our ignorance that there is even a "problem". we try to justify our actions of judging a group based on a couple of bad experiences. well, tough luck. suck it up...unless you want to compromise every possible future relationship you may find yourself in.

I do not think I know everything about a man, but I know a lot of good qualities and bad in a man. Not all men are the same, but the saying all men are dogs. Well that is true, but there are tamed dogs and untamed dogs. As long as the dog follow the master (Jesus) commands he will get his blessing.
