Simple, cheap and easy to produce they should therefore be cheaper to buy. But even though they are a popular buy the price is kept far too high.

I am all for a decent profit but the profit made on pizza is not just indecent it is obscene!!!

£5.99 for a pizza that cost about 50 p to make - that is why the price is high the gullible keep buying!!!

If the same profit was made on a steak pie it would cost you three times as much as it does now!!!

Yeah, I always DIY at home. Buy the bases at supermarket then a selection of italian meats, mozzerella cheese and montery Jack. dead easy and cheap. And BBQ base.

GW I agree with u about the english not caring bout thier customers and also about thier food outlets. I am English and our staff in resturants etc are no where as good as the staff in Canada/USA, I have visited both and that is 1 of the things I loved doing....visiting all the fantastic resturants like The Keg, Cheesecake cafe, Tom Hortons, Dairy Queen.

having just returned from a month in USA, yeah british pizza's and most restauarants are a complete rip off. Overpriced and under served by idiots who care little about the customers. The UK is very @nal against food outlets.

If people made their own pizza, including the base, at home they would realise just how much they're being ripped off!!! Bread mixes like ciabatta make a good pizza base. The same goes for burgers.....dead easy to make and you know what's in them if you make your own.

Most of them are, but we buy Morrisons own brand Deep Pan Pizza for £1.15 or 2 for £2.00. Very tasty and good value for money. Worth a try.
