Some people compartmentalize what Jesus said in Matthew 22:37 to mean Jesus distinguishing a human as having three parts, a heart, soul and mind. Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
Not so; in fact, Jesus is saying use every fiber of your being to love God.
The Jewish mentality is that a human consists of a body and one soul whether you call that spirit, heart, or soul. To God-man Jesus and God the father, body is really important as evidenced in the resurrected bodies in Revelation. The eternal soul is also important obviously.
So basically my answer is there is no difference to the Jews in the bible. One body and one soul.

The Bible does make a distinction between soul and spirit but doesn't say exactly what the difference is.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The “spirit” (Heb., ru′ach; Gr., pneu′ma) should not be confused with the “soul” (Heb., ne′phesh; Gr., psy·khe′), for they refer to different things. Thus, Hebrews 4:12 speaks of the Word of God as ‘piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints and their marrow.’ (Compare also Php 1:27; 1Th 5:23.) The soul (ne′phesh; psy·khe′) is the creature itself. The spirit (ru′ach; pneu′ma) generally refers to the life-force of the living creature or soul, though the original-language terms may also have other meanings.

I can not quote you scripture, but MY understanding is:

The soul is our free will something that God did not grant to his angels

the Spirit is the Holy presence of God that is invited into our life by accepting Christ.

Basically, the soul is individual and the spirit is shared

soul = 1 body + 1 spirit

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Most ppl use the terms interchangably
