Before answering, don't ask me why I took it. And YES, it is prescribed to me.

I took 4 mg, way more than what I needed. So I keep getting sick and I just want it out. Will it eventually get out of my system since I keep getting sick or is it already dissolved and its too late? Do I have to just wait it out?

Ive taken this stuff plenty of times before, because I had surgery three times, and we didnt realize it was making me sick we thought it was the anesthesia. I took it 14 hours ago and Im still sick. Ive gotten through it many times before so Im not worried about that. If I eat, I cant keep it down, so of course my electrolytes are low. Ive been sleeping a lot, but I have to work tonight. Anything else I can do?

If you are still feeling sick, it's time for you to go to an ER for treatment.

The treatment is not pleasant.

You will most likely have to drink 50 grams of activated charcoal (yes, it's as bad as it sounds). This will bind to any of the drug still in your system (stomach or intestines) and pass it through (you will be spending some time with your rear end over the toilet). You have to drink it.

If charcoal is not given, you will probably get Narcan instead. Narcan is an antidote to opiate-based medications. You will come crashing down. You won't feel very well for a while. Narcan is given by IV.

Hydromorphone can cause respiratory derpession so you will have to be monitored for at least several hours.

yes it will eventually get out of you system it will just take some time. some sprite or something along that order may help or plain soda crackers. Id bet you took it on an empty stomach. be sure to eat at least 30 min to an hour before taking your meds. if you took more because your pain wasn't being relieved remember to take pain meds before the pain gets bad. If you have just started taking this med it may make you nauseated try lying down and being quit after taking. i know when i take strong pain med if i move around a lot it makes me sick. be sure to report these issues to your doc

This is a short acting drug. In 4 to 6 hours its effects are gone. In a day it is virtually out of your system.

Theoretically, acidic substances like orange juice would hasten its elimination, and basic substances like baking soda would diminish its elimination. Not worth messing with. As we speak the drug levels are crashing.

Relax and wait.
