Lun Tana lul birra Hatta tunfuqoo min ma tuhibboon
You won't get or you won't reach the state of being virtuous until you spend (give in charity) that you love.

They might be (extremely) misguided, but they are still muslims. that is true that allah knows best. but we must remember that there are many different shias like how there are many different sunnis. There are shias who don't those crazy stuff (such as beating themselves.) 2 me, anyone who says the first kalima is a muslim. However many of them do shirk. . . (such as going around Husain's/ali's body as if was the kaaba). We could only wish that allah guides them

By no means shall you attain Al Birr (piety, righteousness – here it means Allah’s Reward, i.e. Paradise), unless you spend ( in Allah’s Cause) of that which you love the most; and whatever of good you spend. Allah knows it well.
