I have version 1.93 on my ps3 and i can't connect to the internet plz help and plz help now!!!?

Question

i had the same problem with the 1.92 version. i thought if i download version 1.93 the internet connection wil be fixed but it didnt't. i tried all from all setings automatic to all settings manual and it still doesnt work.after i do all the settings thing the ps3 put to me:
Obtain IP adress:succeeded
Internet connection:Failed
an error has occured.it's a DNS error


PLZ Help what should i do?

i do not have a home router. is it obligatory to have a home router to connect to the internet

Do you have a home router?
Make sure it has the DHCP server enabled.
Looks like your PS3 does not get a valid DNS address from your router.
You can always try to enter these values manually, but try to fix your router. If you use wireless, make sure you use the correct key for your wireless.

try unplugging router and modem for ten seconds / works for me sometimes.
