I just got my last unemployment check and remaining balance $0 and it says this will be the last check i will be getting. can i re-apply or is there any other place i can get the money from ? thanks

You have to have earnings before you can reapply. If you work for six months and then get laid off again, in most states you would qualify again to receive unemployment benefits based on that new job. But you can't just reapply right away until you've had another job in between.

Sometimes when national unemployment has been very high, the time for receiving benefits has been extended. That's not available now.

How about instead of worrying about an unemployment check you ummmm start looking for a job. I do understand that this can be hard for some people. but umm you obviously are spending time on line asking about free money when you could be looking for a job!

You should check with your local unemployment office. Only under special circumstances will they be allowed to extend the checks.

I believe you have to wait either 6 more months or a yr. But I really believe it's like 6.

You could reapply but it won't do anything for you.

An excellent alternate source of $$$ would be a J-O-B.
