I guess it would mostly depend on what they stole form me. FOr the most part if someone were to steal a material thing from me I would pray that they would return it and that G-d might forgive them and help them to be a better person. If it were a sentimental or extremely valuable thing, it would be difficult to answer the question but I would be more likely to do A then C then B

A) confront the person- nobody has the right to take your things- provided you have not done such a thing in your own life. If you have principles like honesty and lived by it honestly- demand it back. If you have been dishonest sometime in your life take the easy way out and pray that he be forgiven as thats makes you look superior without acknowledging that you are a thief or a liar at some time- only you know. Taking legal action also proves you are a truly honest type. so if you are the dishonest type choose b

God didn't say: HEY...BE A FOOL!
If someone took it and you can get it back, get it back!! If you can take legal action, take it. This is why the law is there.
Any "believer" that sits there and lets the thief take it, thinking he is doing God some sort of service, is gravely mistaken.
Such a person is misinterpreting scriptures and trying to follow the book, but not the Spirit of God. As many as are led by the Spirit...they are the sons of God.

That depends on what it was, but remember mercy cannot rob justice. You can show mercy yet let justice do its job. Or in another words you could call the cops and if that person repents and gives you back what they stolen or pays you for it showing true sorrow you can then extend mercy then drop charges as all is back to normal. However if that person does not repay you for that which they have stolen you should let the law take care of it, but you cannot hold a grudge and its up to you to forgive that person. Forgiveness is not the same thing as letting them go unpunished.

Umm... it really depends on how valuable the possesion is and my relationship with that person.Stealing, however is a very bad crime, in Islam people get punised by getting their hands cut off for stealing, it's that bad.If it was a friend and stole something that is not much valuable.I'll take B, if the stolen item is expensive and would cause severe damage to me and my life, i'll take C, especially if i have no relationship with him. I don't think A would be a good idea because it wouldn't bring anything.

There are too many factors. If the person is dangerous and the property valuable, take legal action. If the person is not dangerous but the property is valuable, confront them and threaten legal action, then back it up.

Confront the person and take it back.
Then forgive the person.
A person can't expect God to forgive them if they keep the merchandise, right?
Lesson isn't learned that way.

B... We should ask for his responsibility! And then we do C... He'll still have sins although he give back what he stole to the owner.

C. Take legal action.
God intended for us to follow civil law. I would leave it int he hands of the law enforcement, as they will take necessary steps to find the person that committed the crime.

I had it happen to me very recently...and they did it in front of my face. I called the police who came out & told me I would have to take them to small claims court. I didn't. I sent them a letter telling them that I forgive them just as Jesus Christ forgave me of my sins. It's part of the Lord's prayer..." Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors." Was it hard to do? Yes. I wanted to sue. But I won't trade my salvation for what they stole.
