I know that Christianity has changed there dogma, to keep up with the times in the face of scientific theory-facts. Many Christians unable or unwilling to reason, still hang on to the literal word. But has the doctrine changed at all?

doctrine changed since the roman times. it's so hypocritical how the catholic church bends the teachings to fit whatever politic agenda the elites want. same goes all the way down the hierarchy to priests and small churches too.

Some anti-scientific dogma has been spread by the churches through the ancient ages e.g. that the earth's flat. However you'll find stuff like that was never actually said in the Bible. Scientific progress does not equal Christians playing a never ceasing catch up game with anyone else.

Instead of answering the how questions, Christianity and the Bible mostly answer the why questions. Like what is the purpose of life? Why do we suffer? What do we have to look forward to after death? Those type of questions fall to doctrine, and stay constant - in the face of science which can't answer such questions.

God's word is eternal and unchanges

Any changes in the Christian doctrine would be done by man and without approval
