how is religion different than spirituality?

can one be spiritual without being religious?

yes one can be spiritual and not be religious. religion has been/become institutionalized, which is far from spirituality but law & order in favor of the powerful men on the top of the food chain.

I disagree. I believe one can be religious and not be spiritual but it is impossible for one to be spiritual and not religious. I speak from experience. I was a member of a Baptist church for 30 years, I was religious, but I was not saved. Then one day I gave my heart to Jesus. I rejoined the church, was baptized again, and was born again. I have since that time been spiritual. I am not what I need to be, but thank God, I am not what I was.

a religion is a collection of people like in a church or mosque
spiritual is peace inside you
