Because I'm a probationary employee, I am not covered until my first couple of months are up. Then I'll be a regular employee.

It's been taken out of my first few paycheck, and I'm a full time worker.

please. if your gonna say "look at this site" please give a quick synopsis of what i'm gonna be reading about or what the short answer is. Thank you

Your health insurance premium must be paid up front before you receive any coverage. What is probably happening is that your first couple of paychecks show a deduction for the premium that is going to be sent to pay the health insurance premium at the end of the probationary period. The first day of your regular employment, you will be covered because the premium has been paid.

Ask your payroll department to clarify as well.

I just started a new job. I'm probationary for 90 days but get medical bennies after 30.

Your best bet is to ask your employer. If they're taking $$$ from your check, you are covered.

They should only take out an amount for health care coverage when you are actually covered. Are you sure your coverage doesn't start before your probationary period is up? Check with your HR department if you have one, or else with your boss.
