Hes a savior because he gave his life for many.. He doesn't have to be God to be our savior. That is why we gain salvation THROUGH Jesus Christ.
Jude 25
to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

There is only one title of "Savior" which both Jehovah and his Son hold.
Jehovah sent his Son and not himself to be a ransom. Therefor both are Saviors. Jehovah is Savior (Like Abraham) sacrificing his Son. Where Jesus is the Sacrifice.
According to the Trinity, God didn't really give his only-begotten son. He actually gave himself and then resurrected himself, as well as rewarded himself for his own faithfulness. According to such a teaching, Jesus was obedient to his own orders! How preposterous!

Jesus stated the father is larger than I (John 14:28). Jesus admitted that something he did, wasn't of his own intiative, he stated he could no longer do a element without it coming first from his Father (see John 5:19). So any salvation we get via Jesus for sure comes from His Father Jehovah - the belief source of all existence and easy-weight and that Salvation. for example: think of you're very ill. A researcher creates the medicine and sends a qualifed physisian to manage it. Who do you thank? the two. who's the source of the scientific care? The Researcher. Do you acknowlege the final practitioner that administered the scientific care? of direction! - see a million John 4:14 this is undemanding, its biblical, its lifelike.

The bible lists several saviors:
Judges 3:9 And the sons of Israel began to call to Jehovah for aid. Then Jehovah raised a savior up for the sons of Israel that he might save them, Oth′ni·el the son of Ke′naz, the younger brother of Ca′leb.
15 And the sons of Israel began to call to Jehovah for aid. So Jehovah raised up for them a savior, E′hud the son of Ge′ra, a Ben′ja·mite,
The bible lists several 'saviors' even though Jehovah is the source of that salvation.
Just as Jehovah sent Ehud & Oth′ni·el to save the nation of Israel,
Jehovah sent his only begotten Son to save mankind.
John 5: 18For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.
19Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.
(When the Jews said Jesus was making himself equal to God, Jesus denied this by saying "the Son can do nothing of Himself")
John 7:29 I know him, because I am a representative from him, and that One sent me forth.”
As God's represenative Jesus can be called Savior,
His saving mankind orginiates with his Father, the Savior

26 answers so far, and not one of them has addressed the particular point you asked about! This Q is about the role of Christ Jesus as SAVIOR. To go on about the Trinity the way JW answerers do, is to duck the issue. Allow me to get straight to the point.
Isaiah 43:10 is known by all JWs as their basis for calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses. Yet they seem to ignore what follows: '...so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, NOR WILL THERE BE ONE AFTER ME, I, even I am Jehovah, and APART FROM ME THERE IS NO SAVIOR.'
Yet JWs cheerfully call Jesus 'a god' and 'the Savior'! Of course, a little bit of translation manipulation has to be invoked by them in 1 Timothy. Ch 2 vs 3 says (KIT) 'This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God' but in ch 4 vs 10 it says, 'we have rested our hope on a living God, who is a Savior of all sorts of men'. A Savior? God is merely 'A' Savior and not THE Savior, as in Isaiah? Why? Not because of the Greek, for that disallows adding the word 'a'. When properly translated, 1 Timothy 4:10 says Jehovah is THE Savior - agreeing entirely with Isaiah. The JWs water down 1 Tim. because the New Testament also calls Jesus Christ THE Savior. Just over the page in 2 Tim 1:8-12 Paul maintains consistency: '...This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Saviour, Christ Jesus...'
According to the Bible there cannot be two Saviors or two Gods. According to the Bible Jehovah and Jesus share the titles of Savior and God! Does the Bible contradict itself? No. And on that point I have supreme confidence that the JWs will agree with me.

There are a lot of other religions who do not consider prophets to be God. Look at Islam, Judaism, Hinduism etc. Jesus may have been considered a prophet, but not the son of god. Jesus was considered to be the son of god after a vote by the Jewish religious leaders at the Council Of Nicene in 325 C.E. They did this so that the emperor Constantine could have agreement and one bible for the new religion that is officially sanctioned by Rome.

Yes that is what they believe. . .Jehovah created Jesus first, after that, Jehovah used Jesus to do all the rest of the creations. . . so NO Jesus is not God. Jehovah is God! Jesus died for us, so YES he is our savior.

They do not put Yeshua on the same level with Jehovah. That is a big mistake by the Jehovah Witnesses, because John 1:1 clearly show that they are equal and that they are one.
Genesis 1st chapter God said "Let Us Create Man after Our Image, after Our likeness. This clearly shows God in plural since.

Under the OT idoltry law, viewing god as 'jesus' would be a voilation of the law.
Deut 4:15-16 Since you saw no form on the day the the LORD spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire. beware lest you act corruptly by making a graven image for yourselves, in the form of any figure, the likeness of man or female...
It is only a precept of man that the concept was taken as an OTHODOXY---"making the way straight'.
325CE Council of Nice Promotion of the Goodman: Christ is Divine. (One should note that the vote was hardly unanimous).
