For me, receiving Jesus Christ was like finding a hidden treasure and after finding it you suddenly have access to all the treasures that anyone could want or need. Or it was like winning the lottery ticket and knowing what the future lottery numbers will be so that you could tell others the numbers so they could win too.
I am "born again", meaning that I was not always a Christian, so I thought I was just sharing Jesus like I would any other great thing I had in my life. I was balistic over what Jesus did in my life! I couldn't help but tell everyone hoping they too would receive Him and this awesome gift He gives you. I didn't realize that after I became a Christian that people didn't see me the same anymore it was just hard for them to have faith. Jesus is the hidden treasure. But it seems people don't want to hear it or believe it. But does that mean I don't want to share Him or offer Him to whoever will receive? THere thoughts or anyone elses "negative" thoughts about Jesus doesn't change what He has done for me or who He is. I hope you can understand Jesus is real for those who've accepted Him, He literally will reveal Himself to you if you accept Him. Unless you have experienced Jesus you may not "get it". SO just try and understand us evangelicals if you can.

First, The Bible is the source that says Jesus is, "the Way, the Truth, and the Light..." Evangelicals, and other Christians, are simply repeating it because they believe it.
Second, trying to converty people is what all religions do. That's part of the deal. Usually it's because people who believe get joy and peace from their belief system and they want to share it with others. I mean, if you're a good person don't you want everyone to feel as happy and full of peace as you do?
Third, it's not just Evangelicals who "make people convert". First of all, Christians stopped forcing a long, long time ago. Second, Muslims still force to people to converty or die in their nations. I'd say that's a lot worse than having some hypocrite in your face for a few minutes.
Fourth, I think it's both unfair and hypocritical to lump all "evangelicals" into such a broad statement. I don't go to an evangelical church, but many of my beliefs fall in the evangelical category. However, I do not berate, condemn, or hate others for their belief systems. I simply share my faith and try to let my everyday actions speak for themselves.
Finally, why is it that Muslims are allowed to murder people in the name of their religion and we are supposed to try to see their point of view, but when Christians stand up for oursleves we're "hate mongers", "racists", "xenophobes", or any other of a thousand horrible things?
In conclusion: Why is it okay for everyone to hate the Christians, but the Christians aren't supposed to have any hard and fast rules for their belief system?

Its the Bible that is speaking, not evangelicals, the Bible, Gods Holy Word, says the Jesus is the way the truth and the life, Jesus said except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. The Bible is very clear, Jesus is the only way to Heaven, thats the Bible speaking, not any human being, Jesus died on a cross for my sins and yours. Only blood can atone for those sins, Jesus shed his blood on the cross once for all. If you would like to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour just say this simple Prayer and if you believe in your heart you will be saved. Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Speaking up for Evangelicals, who makes you do anything?
Does someone hold a gun to your head. These people believe in the book they have learned from. It says that everyone who believes in the words of Jesus must spread his words to all the nations. Most are passionate about doing that because they believe in it. No one can make you believe.
You cannot be converted to anything or any religious beliefs unless you allow it. If it is with a gun then you are in trouble. You will have to make a choice real quick like. Otherwise, no one can make you.

Why do you say that we are acting like we are the way , the truth and the life, when we share with others that Jesus is. That is what we believe, so why would we not share it with others. I don't say- that it is my way, I say what Jesus said about Himself. You can choose to believe it or not- you are not accountable to me.

And just how do evangelicals MAKE people do that, hmm?
Evangelicals maybe are just telling the truth, and hoping and praying that people will accept it, and then rejoice when they do.
Some evangelicals even actually put their words into action and love and serve others so much that those whom they serve want to know more about Jesus, and end up converting.
Isn't that subversive... or maybe it's just a kind of radical love you can't recognize because you don't know the One who inspires it...

You're ignorance is alarming! Once a person is converted by the Holy Spirit, His spirit resides in the person.
“A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and YOU IN ME, and I IN YOU. John 4:19-20
As a result we want to witness and spread the good news because that what Jesus and the disciples did! How an we not if God's spirit is within us? Because of the Spirit we have ownership of ALL Truth!
We don't convert the Holy Spirit does? Will he convert you?
Ever told a lie?
Ever hated anyone? See 1 John 3:15
Ever lusted after someone? See. Matt. 5:27-28
Ever blasphemed?
For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. James 2:10
Lawbreakers go to hell.
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Cor. 6:9-10
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Rev. 21:8
This is clear and humbling. However God made a way so we wouldn't have to go to hell. Jesus (God in flesh) came to earth, lived a sinless life, and was crucified on our behalf. He rose three days later defeating death and in turn giving us an escape route from hell. But Jesus did command us to repent. That means to turn from sin to God. The perfect example of repentance is found in Psalm 51.
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15
I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Luke 13:3
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3
You see when you repent God gives you a new heart and new desires and they are desires to serve Him. As a result you are biblically born again! That my friend is good news!

How does one make another convert? People who trust and believe in Jesus do so because Jesus is the true way and has proven it by His death and victory over the law of sin and death by His Resurrection 3 days later...The Romans or the Pharisees never disputed the claim...I find that very interesting. They could of ended the movement right then and there...The Apostles continued to preach the good news and they were told to stop or face death..They knew who Jesus was and was taught by Him so death to them was nothing compared to the truth they knew...

There is no way a Christian can MAKE someone become a Christian, dear one. All we try to do is point the way. We are not the way, Jesus is. And we state that in nearly every post.
Sorry for any confusion.
God bless you!

I read the comments above and 'how do we force anyone to convert' was fairly prevalent.
I'll tell you how you can 'force' someone to convert.
1. Get them when they're at their weakest, psychologically.
2. 'Beat' them over the head with 'you are a sinner.
3. 'Beat' them over the head with 'you are going to hell unless you accept Jesus as your saviour (aka your lord and master).
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 ad nauseam and you will 'force' someone to convert.
