I reside in Vegemite Mecca ~ that is, Sydney. We have no foodstamps here... but vegemite is very prevalent.

I stayed in a hotel in the outback, outback last month. It was Aus$25 per night including "continental breakfast".

When I asked about breakfast the next morning the publican said
"sure thing matey. Help yaself to the kitchen out the back".

In the kitchen outback in the pub outback I found a fridge and inside the fridge I found some bread, butter and vegemite. The Tea was made in Shri Lanka.. hence the claim .. "continental".

Beer was not free but it was good.
