know one can convince you....You have to have the desire to want to know Jesus....and when one has a true heart that truly seeks Jesus, Jesus said I stand at the door and knock if anyone hears my voice let me in.

Ancient Christianity is correct, modern Christianity is false. People in ancient times had a different knowledge than we have, knowledge of there inner states, their state of being, they prayed and petitioned which is actually just a form of meditation and contemplation if it is done correctly, along with devoting oneself to live according to certain laws which govern the earth. The whole concept that one religion is right and another is wrong is for the most part also false. The major religions, Christianity, Judeism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and the Mohammaden religion are also right as long as they are not distorted by people who don't work on their state of being. The sad fact is that people have forgotten this half of the equation, and only recite verses from very sacred texts and think they can be on their way to righteousness. Being is to do with weather a person is arrogant, or cheerful, or bitter, or caring, etc... If a person is truly religious they will work on purifying themselves of negativity and will work on their conscience as well as their consciousness. This question can be easily answered without the bible, the truth isn't confined to a book, and doesn't depend exclusively on intellect.

I feel bad as i read some of these responses. many of the answers are telling you that your question stinks.

With that said I want to explain why they are attacking your question.

Christianity believes that everyone needs to be saved from sin and they are saved through what Jesus Christ did on the Cross. Without the Bible we wouldn't know about Jesus Christ, how to get saved, why we need saving, and a whole bunch of other things.

So we may not be able to show or prove to you that Christianity is true without the bible because there is nothing to talk about without the bible.

You may want to ask something like...prove the existence of God, why do Christians believe the bible is true and accurate, What are the advantages to being a Christian, or something like that.

I hope that helps

There is a whole bunch of other issues when it comes to believing Christianity without the bible.

There is another question i would suggest you ask and for the sake of writing space ill wait to answer that on a separate entry.

the question is: Is it possible to believe Christianity without the bible (special revelation) or can it be proven through other methods?

good luck

Factually, there's an abundance of evidence to put beyond reasonable doubt that Jesus rose from the dead, and stayed alive eternally:

- Jesus really did die on the cross. Tons of witnesses saw it.
- The empty tomb, combined with the fact that the tomb was sealed shut and Roman guards were alert all night to protect against intruders e.g. Jesus' disciples perhaps.
- The Jews (Jesus' enemies at the time) did not produce Jesus' body. That would have killed Christianity, but they didn't produce such, because Jesus rose from the dead!
- The physical appearances after Jesus' resurrection to roughly 515 people before Jesus was raised to heaven. That too was seen by hundreds.
- The radical growth of Christianity, just after Jesus' resurrection. While that alone doesn't prove Christianity, it helps when combined with the other points.

No other religion offers such a radical theory, no other god or prophet has physically risen from the dead and stayed alive.

If you wanted to explore the claims of Jesus though i.e. Jesus' perfect life, his incarnation (coming to earth as human), why God hates sin so much, and why a person needs to believe & trust in Jesus as their personal Saviour, you'd have to go to the Bible.

That is like saying convince me that (x+1)/9y=47x- 1/3y without using any rules in a math textbook. Why could I not use an old history book thats already proven to be correct and nobody has proven it false in any area thus far (if you find proof of it being false tell me now) so how can I prove that history is correct without using the use of history itself?

That is a silly request. Do you think there would be any Christians if we did not believe the Bible is true. You, prove me evolution is true without the science.

Unlike all other religions, Christianity alone possesses a founder who transcends death and who promises that His followers will do the same. All other (false) religions were founded by men and prophets whose end was the grave. As Christians, we take comfort in the fact that our God became man, died for our sins, was killed, and was resurrected the third day. The grave could not hold Him. He lives and He sits today at the right hand of God the Father in heaven. The living church has a living Head.

No one can or needs to convince you. It comes from conviction in the heart. You have to ask on the inside for Christ to make Himself real to you in your life. "You have not because you ask not." I'd recommend not punking Him when you ask. I am speaking from experience. I wasn't always a Christian... I am now.
