In John 15:5 Jesus says : " If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing"

Which is the ONLY verse BY JESUS (not by others, if any) in the Bible that tells us how to "remain" in him and what does it say?

JC is the MAN! Very good!
However, the second verse says to remain "in my love" not "in me". Granted, the meaning is the same, but I meant the literall answer. You have to eat his flesh and drink his blood, because Jn. 6:53 says:"Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.".
The real question behind my original question is : ARE YOU EATING HIS BODY AND DRINKING HIS BLOOD?

John 6:56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.

John 15:10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.

So there is actually 2 verses.

It just means to keep the word of God inside of you. You should have a bible verse - God's promise in you daily. When you do - you will live a very fruitful life.

It's EVERYWHERE in the bible in EVERY chapter when He speaks of following his command and law. AND more importantly - it's true.

I've tried a lot of different methods - but reminding God of His own promises is the one thing that manifests continuous blessings - divine favor - health - and prosperity. God truly honors His word. He may let you chew on it for a minute to see if you are faithful in heart or just a fly by night - but let me tell you - His word in you is better than any lottery ticket and He's GUARANTEED (See Malachi 3:10)

You need to trust Him. You can take communion all day long and not have any faith. The Jews and the Christians should have learned that works isn't the answer! It 's trust. The rituals of religion will never replace the need for the trust in God.

With trust you have the Spirit of God in you, and with trust you receive the urgings of His Spirit.

THAT'S how you remain in Him, by trusting Him every day. Yesterday's faith will not get you through today.

considering he talked about being light or enlightenment with telling others a kingdom of heaven is within...not without

maybe it means seek truth from within and seek wholeness, inner peace, always ask questions and love others...

hard to say, it's so gnostic
