"When Jesus was on earth as a man, he was a Hebrew, and now in his capacity as Jehovah's royal Executioner he is called by the Hebrew name Abad'don, which means Destruction. (Job 26:6; 28:22; 31:12; 12:23; 14:19) In the Greek in which the inspired Christian Scriptures were written his similar title is Apollyon, which means Destroyer." (Watchtower 12/1/1961, pp. 719)

Jesus is "a god"?
Jesus is Michael?
Jesus is Abaddon?
Jesus is Apollyon?
Are the Witnesses and Mainline Christianity talking about the same Jesus?

Conundrum: You overlooked important items from the Hebrews passage you cited. First, partaking of flesh and blood in the context of the chapter refers to his taking on a human body. Secondly, and this part is key against your assertion, it says he did NOT take on the nature of angels. .
14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same, that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death -- that is, the devil --
15and deliver those who all their lifetime were subject to bondage through fear of death.
16For verily He took not on Himself the nature of angels, but He took on Him the seed of Abraham.
17Therefore in all things it behooved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
18For in that He Himself hath suffered, being tempted, He

Revelation 9:11 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain
11And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon

Steveie P./Heavenly Eyes: I type slow so you can understand. The quote I referenced from the Watchtower equated Apollyon with Jesus. Revelation says Apollyon is an angel from the bottomless pit. Understand yet?? Jehovah Witness teaching can't make up it's mind what Jesus is. The Jesus you 'worship' is not the Jesus of the bible. I'm not sure who your Jesus.

Wow Greg...
At Revelation 9:11, however, the word “Abaddon” is used as the name of “the angel of the abyss.” The corresponding Greek name Apollyon means “Destroyer.” In the past century there were efforts made to show that this text prophetically applied to individuals such as Emperor Vespasian, Muhammad, and even Napoleon, and the angel was generally regarded as “satanic.” It should be noted, however, that at Revelation 20:1-3 the angel having “the key of the abyss” is shown to be God’s representative from heaven, and rather than being “satanic,” he binds and hurls Satan into the abyss. Commenting on Revelation 9:11, The Interpreter’s Bible says: “Abaddon, however, is an angel not of Satan but of God, performing his work of destruction at God’s bidding.”
In the Hebrew scriptures just considered, it is evident that ’avad·dohn′ is paralleled with Sheol and death. At Revelation 1:18 we find Christ Jesus stating: “I am living forever and ever, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.” His power with regard to the abyss is shown at Luke 8:31. That he has destroying power, including the power of destruction over Satan, is evident from Hebrews 2:14, which says that Jesus partook of blood and flesh in order that “through his death he might bring to nothing the one having the means to cause death, that is, the Devil.” At Revelation 19:11-16 he is clearly represented as God’s appointed Destroyer or Executioner.

I'm not a JW but Eli means God and Eloi probably means God in aramaic Edit: When jews read the Bible out loud they replace YHWH by saying adonay or elohim. So just because Jesus doesn't call God Jehovah/Jahwe, it doesn't really mean anything.

The JW is a cult. They don't accept certain Biblical concepts and truths. The watchtower is suppost to be "continued revelation". Revelation has already been completed with the 2 canons of the Bible, OT and NT.

I take it you;ve never :executed a plan"?? Honestly, whether you believe as I do, that Jesus is Jehovah's son, or believe that Jesus is God, clearly as Jesus is either His son, or in fact Him, then he would be the one to execute God's plans.

WOW. I was told that they think that Jesus was Gabriel. They make Jesus a liar. They do not accept Jesus as their Savior, so He will not save them.
Edit: I just found out that they accept Jesus as their Savior, but they think that Jesus is archangel Michael and angel can save you. They do not believe Jesus is God. They think that this angel is also Son of God. So an angel is a God's Son.
And this is kind of strange to Christians who believe Jesus is God, but when He was on earth, He was fully God and fully human.

Question?
If "you" cannot do good, why criticize those who do God's will?
If not Jesus, (God's first creation), then who would God act through for clearing up wrong doing in his creations?

2 Thess 1: 7and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire,
8dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
9These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
10when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed--for our testimony to you was believed.

What do you think Jesus is doing to those who do not obey or know God?
Rev 19: 11And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.
12His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.
13He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
14And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.
15From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.
16And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."
17Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which fly in midheaven, "Come, assemble for the great supper of God,
18so that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them and the flesh of all men, both free men and slaves, and small and great."
19And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.

Because of the false teaching of Christmas,
Most people only think of Jesus as a baby
or the weakling on a cross.
Jesus is Jehovah's appointed King coming to cleanse the earth of wicked mankind.

No wonder you are confused.
WE DO NOT WORSHIP JESUS. (large print so you can read it.)
Jesus is the image of God,
When did worshiping images become acceptable?
If you believe Jesus is more than a image, you are being blinded by Satan.
2 Cor 4: 4in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
(this is the same glory Jesus gives to his disciples:
John 17: 5"Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.
22"The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;
