A question concerning crimes by illegals drew a rather odd response; that you never see an educated person against [illegal] immigrants. Now that's a bit arbitrarily contrived, don't you think?

Yo! Chuck P! Hold your fire a sec, would you?
It wasn't ME who said that. I posted the question because somebody ELSE said it.
How much coffee do you drink in a day? Mercy!

Chuck: I'll forgive you if you'll give a nicely worded, honest response to my previous question. How's that? Nice, huh? Now cut back on the Maxwell House, 'K?
Here's the question:

"Is it true that "college-educated people rarely oppose illegal immigration?"
I don't believe that's true. College educated here and about as far left as one can get...except on illegal immigration.
Marry your same sex partner, seperate church and state, the whole bit, but when it comes to convincing me mass immigration of one race of people with basically the same religious and cultural background will leave America intact in the next 50 or so years, forget it.
I love brown eyes, brown hair, but I also like green and blue eyes and shades of blonde and red hair. How many Germans, Russians, Irish, Chinese, Japanese, English, Indians, Africans etc. are we immigrating? I'll bet the total number of those don't account for a fraction of the illegal and legal immigration of peoples of Mexican and South American ancestry. I don't want America to loose her diversity.

ok, so if Congress and the President substitute the regulation day after today removing all obstacles to immigration, you will help it, staggering? Are you useful your purely subject with unlawful immigration is that this is against the regulation? because of the fact the government could very fairly substitute the regulation. you will could arise with a distinctive argument, then. Being anti-immigration or anti-unlawful immigration isn't intrinsically racist. of course no longer. this is inflammatory and stupid. you may no longer take that complaint heavily. in spite of if, i think of a few human beings use the "regulation" as a guise to mask their real thoughts on the subject. In some circumstances, i comprehend racism performs a factor. If no longer racism, then xenophobia and nativism. neither is a sturdy trait for someone to have. devoid of understanding your real motives, i could no longer probably say why you're so detrimental to unlawful immigration. i comprehend that the regulation is beside the point because of the fact the regulation isn't a static stress. The regulation could mirror what's staggering and incorrect. So, once you show why you think of the regulation is suited, fairly than resorting to helping the regulation for the regulation's sake, then i would be waiting to render a decision. As for me, I disagree with the guidelines on the books. I disagree with a terrific variety of rules on the books. And for those rules that I do like, i do no longer attempt to justify their existence by asserting that they exist. this is around reasoning.

Oh goodness that was me. Yes it's usually true if context is taken into consideration.Such as blaming illegals for ALL crime actually to be specific MEXICAN illegals if I remember the question correctly and the poster.Let me replay it for you.
....you're sad.Truly.Why do you blame everything on immigrants?Don't you think our country and our citizens bear any responsibility for this?Only immigrants commit crimes ? i don't think so.Get a good education and you won't have to worry about some immigrant taking your job .But right now just concentrate on that education cuz you skip a lot of school. As is obvious by your constant use of your computer.Maybe you should trade your computer in and buy text books. the illegals aren't the cause of all your problems or anyone else's on here.Poor education is. do you ever see an educated person against immigrants. No you don't.That should tell you something
Which my dear friend does follow my questions around and doesn't quite answer the question just says whatever to insult my intelligence.Notice I said immigrants not illegal immigrants. The poster of the question often posts questions that relate to LEGAL IMMIGRANTS of MEXICAN decent. So please post BOTH sides of the story and the on going drama before you try and pick apart another poster. Thank you
Which your link BTW is to a question YOU asked and it wasn't about criminals but a wall.tsk tsk ...lying to try and make a point.Guess no one read your link huh?

Just because a person has or doesn't have a college degree doesn't mean that their feeling about illegal immigration is based on the having or not having a degree. I worked at a University for 30 years, and trust me having a college degree has little or no relationship to rational decisions.

YES IT IS TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!! OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE!!!!!!!!
I am in NJ. The college educated make a good living with good jobs. Illegal aliens do not threaten jobs that require degrees.
The college educated rich ARE HAVING A BLAST HIRING CHEAP ILLEGAL LABOR!!!!!!!!! They are the ones making it all possible for illegal aliens!!!!!!!!!
The middle class are the ones screaming about illegal immigration the most because they are getting hurt the most. C'mon people....wake up!
I am in residential construction. I chose this trade as I took great pride in contributing to build America. I HATE how illegals have wrecked my career and now I can barely even hold onto my apartment and take care of my daughter. The illegals are taking all the work....and the rich, yes college educated, started it so they could have cheap nicey nice landscaping. This all started with farming and landscaping.
I used to make a good living, worked harder than anyone around, atleast 6 days a week. Now I have to work for illegal alien rate and never have a full weeks work. So you tell me change my trade? Bullsh** Don't tell me I can't work in my town anymore because illegals now own the industry. It all started with the rich up on the hill hiring them because their jobs would never be affected. They like illegal immigration, they clean their big homes, carry rocks around the yard, fix the house and enable cheaper meals when the rich go to a restaurant filled with illegal labor.
People....use the rest of your head not just your mouth!!!!!

Master of Science in Nursing is the degree I hold.
I oppose illegal aliens.
I support legal immigration.
Please note...the person who made such a comment in a previous has declined to post her level of education.
Here is the link to the post in question. The question did not refer to legal immigrants, but spoke directly to the issue of illegal aliens. The context of the question and posts in response were primarily re illegal aliens.

Yes, I do think it is arbitrarily contrived. I'd like to see where the statistics came from and how they were collected. I'm college educated, the child of a LEGAL immigrant, and opposed to ILLEGAL immigration. I know many other college educated people, a good number who are the children of LEGAL immigrants, and they too are opposed to ILLEGAL immigration. I really don't know anyone, college educated or not, who is for ILLEGAL immigration.

I'm opposed to illegal immigration and I'm college educated. I have an assoc. degree in accounting and am only 10 classes away from my BA.
The only ones who WANT illegal immigrants
1. are themselves illegal or are relatives of illegals
2. want to exploit the cheap labor the illegals supply or
3. are paid advocates of illegals (lawyers and those who work for lobbyist groups)
I'm even a Democrat, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to sacrifice the safety of my country for something as meaningless as a political party. Since the immigration bill's introduction I have taken more notice of the issue and will even vote Republican if I have too in order for something to be done.
I'll even drop another bomb on the subject - COLLEGE EDUCATED PEOPLE ARE ALSO THREATENED BY ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.

I think that there are people from all backgrounds both against illegal immigration and pro-reform. It is obnoxious for anyone to try and paint an entire grouping of the population with such a broad statement. Obviously, sadly mistaken.

Nope, not true.
Of course our Liberal Arts Education system is systematically doing their best to teach our children that illegals are good for the country and we should educate more of them at taxpayers expense because it would be good for America.
They forget all the immigrants legal and illegal who are from Mexico who are now using their positions and education to undermine our country.
