1) Why would God need to repent to himself?
"And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart." Genesis 6:6

2) Why would God swear to himself?
"And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:" Genesis 22:16

3) Also are the devils that confessed that Jesus was the Son of God saved?
"28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. 1) There are several translations of this scripture including this one from the NIV Bible:
Gen 6:6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain.

2) Your answer is found in the New Testament Book of Hebrews

Hebrews 6:13 -18
13When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, 14saying, "I will surely bless you and give you many descendants."[c] 15And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.
16Men swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument. 17Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie...

3) Salvation is for those that believe and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Even though the devils knew of Jesus, they did not accept him as their Lord and Savior, and hence do not have salvation.

In addition let us go to 1John 4:14 along with 1John 4:15. It seems to add so much more clarity the the meaning of the scripture:

1John 4:14-15:
14And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.

All of these question are rather simple to answer. Maybe you should reconsider your reason in asking them. In any event I hope you learned something.

1) repented there basically means sorry. God was sorry He created man. He regretted doing it. He was not repenting for sin or anything.

2) What greater thing could there be to swear on except God. When we swear we swear on important things. Nothing is more important than God.

3) This is just a pointless question. The demons believe not by faith but because they were in Heaven. They once served God in His presence.

I'll tackled this.
1. "repented" Hebrew means "to be sorry"

2. sworn - Hebrew "if by repeating a declaration seven times"
declaring a oath

3. Devils believe in God, and they tremble. Why do they tremble? They know their judgment.
The true confession is do the demons acknowledge Jesus has Lord? They know He is the Son of God, they refuse to be under His spiritual authority. They do not call Him Lord.
Someday they will.

Your "research" appears as statistically unreliable and invalid as "Yoyo" 's about why Christians supposedly waiver about whether there are laws in the Bible they have to follow. Maybe if the two of you got together and took a research course, you'd realize how amiss you both are, and then you MIGHT go through the arduous task of actually formulating a research theory and hypothesis and actually come up with a truly statistical and valid question to present here. Until then, you two just sound like more of the same ol' Christ bashers we've seen many times before. How boring. God Bless you.

There are express answers for these questions in the bible itself.

1. It is a figure of speech to convey God's sadness.

2. The Apostle Paul said that God cannot swear by anyone higher than himself, because he is god, so he cannot swear by god.

3. James noted in his letter that the demons in Hell believe in God, but they are still in Hell because they do not actually obey God.

Don't you read?

1) Why would God need to repent to himself?
Repent means to "turn around". It also means to just "stop". God was so grieved with man that He just regretted even creating them. But He still had Noah and his family to look after.

2) Why would God swear to himself?
You swear by that which is higher than yourself. Since there is nothing higher than God, He swore to Himself.

When God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, - Heb 6:13

3) Also are the devils that confessed that Jesus was the Son of God saved?
No, it just meant that they knew who He was. Does not mean that they could repent or that even salvation is offered to them. And BTW, the devils yelled it like a curse. To confess is to surrender.

Fair enough
1) repent means to change your mind
2) He didn't swear "to" he swore by Himself, the highest standard
3) No - confessing, repenting and following are different things..... can't just use one verse without the others that go along with it...

1. You are misunderstanding the interpretation in this context.

2. Because he could swear by none greater.

3. No. Their faith was not in Jesus. They knew who he was through experience. These had abandoned their faith in Him.
