Well, you could add some pretzels into the cottage cheese and eat it with a fork. That's pretty good if you're wanting something salty.
If you're wanting something sweeter, try it with fruit (it goes best with pineapple).
I personally don't are for cottage cheese, but I do know that a lot of people who do like it eat it with these other foods.

Here are some ideas:
*I puree it in my chopper with fresh herbs and seasonings to make a dip or spread. You can dip veggies such as yellow and green squash, bell peppers, red, yellow, or orange peppers, carrots, broccoli, etc. The variations are endless with a little imagination: lemon pepper, italian herb, paprika, sage, rosemary and a drizzle of olive oil, etc.
*I eat it with fresh or canned fruits: strawberries, blueberries, pears, peaches, cherries
*It can be baked into bread, but on a low-carb diet you're probably avoiding...
*It can be baked atop sandwich fillings as a sort of "melt".
*It can be used as the cheese on a personal pizza. A Thomas's Sahara Whole Wheat pita bread pizza is thin and may be allowed on your low-carb diet. Check the label. Some prefer it to Ricotta Cheese (Italian cottage cheese).
*Speaking of Ricotta, can you eat low-fat Ricotta Cheese since its nutritional profile is similar to cottage cheese? If so I absolutely love it as a dessert topped with toasted walnuts and a tiny drizzle of maple syrup and a dusting of cinnamon. Haven't tried this with cottage cheese but I might just do that now that you've inspired me.
*An italian favorite is to serve strawberries with a great balsamic vinegar and a turn of fresh ground black pepper. (Stay with me.) Some have said that there is nothing better than a good balsamic drizzled on vanilla ice cream. How about trying your pureed cottage cheese or ricotta mixed with some vanilla bean paste and a drizzle of balsamic? You might even add some strawberries. (Some taste buds might find this too strange so be warned. It's a little far flung.)
Enjoy.

You can mix it with eggs, some herb (basil or oregano are great), and some veggies to make a more flavorful omelet. I have also added it to whole wheat pancake mix to replace some of the flour.
If I have to do a dip, usually I drain it a little and mix it with herbs, garlic, roasted red peppers, olive oil or any seasoning I have available. Some people think its cream cheese.
Usually I eat it on a salad, where the flavor of other veggies, protein and dressings improve or mask the flavors. It goes great with a well season watercress salad or some roasted chickpeas. Try adding some toasted nuts.

It depends on your tastes. Most people love to eat it with pineapple, or peaches or any fruit. I really like it with canned peaches with a bit of the juice on it, too. Also, Weight Watcher's has a recipe where you spread some cottage cheese on whole wheat toast and sprinkle some diet sugar and little bit of cinnamon on it, then top brown it (broil). I also like it used in a savory (versus sweet) recipe and use seasoned salt or any other seasoning such as Salad Supreme on it. Just don't use too much salt, or it's not healthy. You can use many non-salt seasonings as well.

I like to sprinkle it with Mrs. Dash seasoning.
Another good treat for low carb diets is to mix 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese with about 1/8 tsp of almond flavoring and a
1Tbs of dark chocolate mini chips. Good luck with your diet!
