My mom is flying from SFO to oregon and wants to know what she can and cannot bring with her. Is she able to bring a carry on, what items are not allowed etc...

You can bring a carry-on; the airline determines how many you can take. Usually it's a bag and a personal item like a purse.

You CAN take liquids and gels, but can only have 3oz of each and they must all be placed inside a 1-qt Ziploc bag.

You can't take weapons anymore, but things like nail clippers, blunt-tip scissors, crochet hooks, etc are now allowed.

You can also take electronic devices, but they have to go through the x-ray machines.

You can bring liquids, but they cannot be over a certain amount. I think it's like 3 oz or something like that. Can't remember off the top...You get a carry on plus a purse.

Nothing that is liquid (no lotions, toothpaste, etc) no weapons of course.
