I know what you mean. I was 271 pounds and ate all the time before I got on Weight Watchers. I'm currenty down to 249.4 pounds. I usally eat fruit or veggies before I go to bed. Good Luck. Oh yeah Oatmeal is also good as long as you don't load it with sugar and butter. You can get the flavored oatmeal that is very good.

ugh I do the same thing ESPECIALLY after working out at night. I cannot go to sleep without something to eat. I feel like I need another meal completely. Its driving me nuts.
Maybe get some granola bars and limit yourself to one???? Maybe it will satisfy you enough to sleep.
I try to completely ignore it and usually I can fall back asleep but it is hard.
I do hear that it is actually not as bad for you as they say to eat late. I always eat a late dinner (8 or 9) and I am tiny. I have always had "midnight snacks". I think its kinda a myth.
But good luck with everything. if ignoring doesnt help...try eating something small and tricking your body?

eating after "x" time of day is total bs with no science behind the logic. the human body requires nutrients every 3-4 hours that you are awake, it's that simple. what is important is the food selections that you choose later in the day when the level of activity is at it's lowest. at night meals and/or snacks should be proteins, veggies and healthy fats.
the last thing you want to consume late at night is carbohydrates. insulin sensitivity decreases as the day progress so the ability for skeletal muscle to store excess carbohydrates is reduced, increasing the potential for fat storage. also elevated insulin levels inhibit growth hormone secretion during the last part of the first sleep cycle. gh is the most powerful fat burning substance that the body produces.

I have the same problem. It will take your body some time to get used to the new schedule. Eat a couple carrots. It probably won't help too much though. Your craving carbs and they just don't go with weight loss.

milk, warm water, tea... something liquid but not too sugary ( and def. not fruits.. coz it has loads of sugar.. and when sugar is not burnt.. it will turn into fat imminently)
coz solid foods are harder to digest and when there's extra energy not burnt it will just turn into fat too.
or if you're just a bit hungry...do some light exercise!
like a 20min easy low impact pilate... when u exercise u'll release hormones that make u happy and less hungry...
and after the exercise u'll even have a better night sleep!!
isn't that " killing two birds with one stone" !?
