I didn't think the show was that great but was interested to see how they would portray the city. I dont think it was a positive selling point for tourism. They were showing shootings in Jackson Square & Bourbon Street. Although some of the events were accurate I dont think the locations they chose to express events were the best way to showcase New Orleans or accurate.
I agree what you mean about the plantation home (I think that was Houma House). I am curious to see where it goes. I am not drawn into the show from the first episode but am curious to see how it portrays the city down the line.

I liked it, but hen again, I like anything that showcases New Orleans. Deja Vu is by far my favorite movie, but if it were set anywhere else, it would just be ok. A couple of weird things, they were having a gumbo party? Never heard of that, I think crawfish boil or something would have fit better. Also he was making a shrimp po-boy in his kitchen at the beginning, I love shrimp po-boys, but I've never made one at home.
Once it got past the beggining I found the show to be more enjoyable, and what I hear, the next episode is better. I thought the joke when Cobb was in the car, and the other cops said he ruined it for CSI was hilarious. I'd give it another chance.

I loved it, I'm glad they didn't have crazy cajun accents as if everyone from hear talks like that. The only thing I dislike is that it comes on the same time and day as my favorite show "Girlfriends" and with the new season coming up I don't think I would watch(K-Ville) so much.
I would love to be a bystander while they are filming down here, I wonder how I can get in on it!?

The show was Ok, but I was expecting something....more out of the program. I'm not sure what, but it seemed to be missing something. I'm sure I'll watch at least one or two more episodes though. Now where's my mint julep. I need to go sit on the veranda with a big palm fan and a rocking chair, dahlin.

I heard good reviews of it on WWL radio today; I haven't seen it yet, but it's supposed to be re-run tonight, according to my TV guide. Hope that's accurate. I intend to watch it tonight and see how I like it. I know Dave Walker in the T-P didn't think a whole lot of it, but he says it has potential. Other critics had lukewarm reviews. Personally, I think only TV critics from New Orleans should be reviewing this show---not TV critics from New York and Los Angeles and other parts. And New Orleans natives.

Correct points in the show:
Corrupt, dirty cops, every single one of them
9th Warders with 'entitled' I'm-a-Victim attitudes
Shooting and rampant crime
Incorrect points:
Gumbo Party? WTF?
Fake stupid accents......they are realy bad!!!
Geography....do the writers/directors own a map?
All in all, it's a bad cop drama with cliche New Orleans stuff and cliche Black/White race stuff and cliche "buddy" movie stuff.
I predict cancelled mid season.

You mean you dont hang out at the voodoo shop? LOL
It's the same with shows based in New York. There is either murder or 30-something year old women always meeting some hunk in a bar. : )

I liked how they portrayed two things: The cop who lost it and the woman who flipped out about her brother and ppl from 9th ward. there are real people who actually feel that way. other than that, i thought it was ok, but i absolutely love me some Cole Hauser and Anthony Anderson!!! I just wanna know how to get on the show!

I didnt see it, actually i went to see hatchet that night which also takes place here and ends in the swamp. ridiculous! if they want to make movies that take place here i really think they should just use locals, its so hard for me to listen to them "talk like us". any bad accents in K-ville?
and who here is calling this place K-ville?!
