I have been told by three different people at my job (none physicians) that Paxil has been known to reduce cholesterol. Does anyone know if this is true? I greatly appreciate your time.

not that I know of. I know it causes dry-mouth and sleep loss and can cause suicidal thoughts... which is funny because it's supposed to be an antidepressant.
There are other drugs that help reduce cholesterol... ask your doctor about those.

Humm... Well, Paxil can help someone cope with the stress that they are facing in their job. If stress makes you eat, and you reduce the amount of stress by taking Paxil, then this will be directly proportional to the caloric intake decress. Thus, less stress equals less food which equals less cholesterol intake. So, indirectly yes! Directly, NO!

Not that I am aware of.
Have you keyed in PAXIL into your browser?
It should take you directly to the company that makes it and then you can read for yourself what it does & doesn't do.
