I heard that the world was to end at 2012? that some of the stuff that has been predicted a long time ago. has already happened. and is happeneing now...so it the world really gonna end? and if so then i might as well forget about school, having kids, and getting married...bcuzz ill lose all of that anyways....so idk. that means when i graduate. from college. a year later or whatever. all that will go to nothing. so its kinda hard to accomplish things or try to. if i think its gonna end at 2012. please answer honestly. about ur opinion or if u really know. and for the ppl that are gonna write something negative..dont even bother. bcuz its a waste of ur time, and mine as well to read ur crap

People have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years. Shortly after Jesus ascended to Heaven many people waited for Him to return and nearly starved to death.
In the early 1900's there was a group in the USA that thought Christ was going to return on a certain date. Most sold everything they had and spent everything having a good time until that date. They ended up embarrassed and poor the day after.
There were many people around the world that thought the world would end on May 12, 2005 because of the way the planets aligned. They were wrong too.
As for this idea of 2012...
Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
We should just live our lives. Plan for collage and your career because ONLY God knows when it's all going to end.

Yes the world is going to end soon, but as for 2012, no one can say that for sure. No one knows when it is going to happen, but the time is near. Everything that has been predicted is already happened or is happening now. There are only a few more things that were predicted to happen. That is the signing of the peace treaty with Israel, the return of Jesus Christ, the rising of the anti-Christ, and the destruction of the world. These things are about to happen, Jesus is only coming for those who have accepted Him as their Lord and Savior. All others will be left behind to be ruled by the anti-Christ until the destruction of the world, and then those who have followed the anti-Christ will be cast into hell with him. This is frightening I know, but you still have time to turn to Jesus and be saved, if you do it soon. †

Every few years someone comes out with a new "end of the world" prediction. God says that No one really knows when it will end, but He will come like a thief in the night, when no one expects it, But God does say to always keep watching for that day, because it will happen eventually. It could be today, it could be tomorrow..it could be 5 years from now...no one really knows.
And the End is not the end as Christians know it, it will be a rapture of all Christians to spare us from the great Tribulation when the Anti-Christ will come to deceive the world. And you will have a choice...join him or die.

Many said the same thing back in the ‘70s when I was a teen. Well, we’re still here. There are a number of ways that the world could end or change, dramatically, but they are unlikely.
Nothing is permanent. Things can and do change. But we shouldn’t spend our time obsessing over our demise or assuming any kind of permanency to our current condition. Just make the most of each day and treasure all the people in your life. For whatever the future, it will be shared by all of us.

The whole 2012 thing is based on a misunderstanding of the Mayan Long Count calendar. It's NOT ENDING on that day or any other day. It simply goes from Baktun 12 to Baktun 13, not unlike when our calendar went form 1999 to 2000, with similar hysteria and drama. (A baktun is about 400 years.)
Don't live your life based on this falsehood. Go to school, get married, do the things you want to do.

No the world will not end at 2012.You must believe that the collapsed universe or kiamat will be decided by Allah the only one God.No one knows it when it will happen exactly.In the holy Qur'an God spoke that only a slight knowledge have been given to humans about unforseen and the future of Kiamat.You must not believe to fortune tellers.They are telling a lie.If their telling are happened it is only accidentally .They assisted by satans so who believe them will have great sins because it is included to syirik or making allies to God.These sins are unforgiven by God...If Kiamat is approaching,Muham mad pbuh told in his hadith that the communities will be in chaos.People do not believe in God and there are no true religion scholars.People disobey laws and regulations.Then 40 periods before kiamat,Jesus will come back to this world for (1)reminding his followers that the right religion is Islam (2)killing all pigs(3)breaking all wood crusades and (4)enforcing laws and regulations Dajjal the cruel leader will be killed.The society will be in peaceful condition..You must continue your study for a better future life.You must strengthen your religion and morale.You must be optimistic that the show must go on.Do not hear the rumour because it can not be trusted. and will mislead you to the wrong path.Do not be despair too.The future is still for you.May God bless you. .

Personally I doubt the world is going to end. I have heard priests and christian ministers it wont end, I even heard a Swami saying it wouldnt end. Maybe that can give you some comfort.
I will say something else and it might sound negative, but it is true. You could die tomorrow!! lol...so dont worry about the end of the world worry about the things you are living now. Live day by day.

Hmmm...
It's funny you ask this, because my friend told me a story the other day...
She said that in the time of Jesus, there was this psychic (not a psychic really, but you know what I mean, a predictor of events... lol) and he made lots of predictions and they all came true and he said that the world would end in 2032.
Of course, I remember people were panicking in 2000, and then again on 6/6/06...
But you know, even if you do die in 2012, you've lived longer than a lot of people... like the Make A Wish kids... =[

The bible says it's a sin to speculate about the end of the world! There were so many who believed the world was going to end when 2000 rolled around and we're still here.
The Apocalypse is not going to happen for a very long time, so please go out and enjoy life, and stop worrying about it's demise! The rapture is still a very long way off! Go have some fun, secure your soul by helping others and being kind.

This is a world with out end (Amen )The end of the church age is probably not far off. \< in other words what people call rapture. Thats not the end of the world , even armageddon is not .Also there is a lot of things that have come true starting with Israel 1947/48.
