Almost universally religions are made up by man. They often depict gods who have human like needs or wants and behave as men do. Consider the gods of Greek mythology who would lie and steal and have sexual relations with other gods. Some people worship manmade idols or objects of nature like trees or stars. The uniquieness of the Biblical revelation is that there is a depiction that a supreem God who revealed Himself to man with the concept of holiness which goes against human nature and stands out as being unique.
