How do you catch 12 million persons who stay in the US without a permanent address, without IDs, without being registered anywhere? Who would do such a job anyway? Police is fighting against terrorism and they are overworked. Who is going to pay for all the police raids and all the transportation from US to Mexico and other countries?

Oh, here's a thought, prosecute and fine the companies that hire them in the first place (putting money INTO the system). secure the border and deport the ones we do catch (deporting them instead of the current catch and release system)

Yes some will slip through the cracks but ignoring a crime isn't going to make it go away. Just letting them in and making them legal won't improve anything either.

Taxpayers are footing the bills for the police and the raids, and the majority of us APPROVE of the expenditures.

There is no easy solution. My biggest beef is that we pay for their health care, schooling, and many other social services. I have no problem with them wanting to work here, just do so legally. Require that employers report/ register them. Figure out a way to register them and make them pay taxes and fees for the services they use. Don't give the "amnesty or citizenship" allow them to work, but make sure if they are working they are paying taxes under a "immigrant number" or something.
Funny thing is, if an american overstays his visa in Mexico, he is picked up and deported or jailed. And their military watches their borders and arrest illegal entries.
But since we offer a "better life" we are not allowed to protect our borders, thats being racist and we are profiling and being inhumane. (We can't call it homeland security)
Makes alot of sense uh?

First of all, your 12 million figure is unrealistic. That was from 10 years ago, I think you can safely assume that there are 20 million+ now.

Metaphorically speaking, First National Bank was robbed 20 million times last year so we should legalize robbery. Yeah, that's stupid.

Enforce the laws and crack down hard like a sledge hammer on people who use and exploit cheap foreign labor. That's it, no job, no $, no help, bye bye

It's unrealistic to expect Americans to be pushed aside to accompany the interests of multi national corporations and corrupt governments.

A question for you: Self deportation? si se puede

It is not realistic to deport the illegal aliens. Secure the border.
Cut off the jobs. Cut off all their access to public services.
Make it a felony punishable by $25,000 fine. Pass HR 1940 and put an end to anchor baby citizenship. Confiscate their vehicles. Cut off all federal aid to sanctuary cities. Increase ICE raids across the nation. Watch them flee back across the border.

It's not a matter of catching them, it's a mater of making them want to go home. You do that by making why they're here (to leech off our system) an untenable proposition.
1. First and foremost make it extremely difficult for US employers to employ illegal aliens by penalizing them directly for any illegal they hire. Make sure the punishment is so severe that the monetary incentive to businesses is to *not* hire illegal aliens.
2. Refuse all social services to illegal aliens. There would be exceptions of course in the cases of life and limb, but these would be rare and would require reporting to federal immigration authorities for deportation purposes.
3. Require state and local governments to assist federal enforcement of immigration laws. Any state or local government refusing to cooperate would lose federal dollars across the board.
4. Change the law on citizenship to allow only children of US citizens to automatically become US citizens (by birth).
5. Establish secure borders. Build physical and electronic fences to prevent illegal border crossing.

There are probably more ideas out there. Let your congressman and senator know what they are! And vote for the candidate that's willing to return our country to Americans.

24 billion in comparison to the 300 billion they cost us isn't something. this is been executed until now and ought to easily be executed lower back. purely think of what share could be heading abode on their own if Ari. regulation replaced into in all 50 states. Obama is a humorous tale.

ANY politician that wanted to legalize the illegals would never be elected into office again!!!
more and more people that do the hiring are learning how to spot fake id's. i have already spotted two and have turned in the people using them.

Finally! Someone who agrees on how unrealistic deportment would be.
The immigrants are coming over here because they need work so they can eat (us Americans don't get the "starving" concept!).
So I think we ought to quit importing so much from China and invest in Mexico. As for the existing illegal immigrants, put them on the road to earning legal citizenship while working, also they should have to pay back taxes. If this situation is handled properly then it could actually benefit our economy.

No it is NOT unrealistic. They will self deport when we:

1. Deny them jobs.
2. Deny them access to education and healthcare (unless life saving).
3. Arrest and deport when we find them.
4. Aggressively defend our borders.

The more difficult we make it from all angles....the less they will come.

Look at what Georgia accomplished......

No amnesty, we can make it bad enough on them thet they want to leave, may take 10 years, but they will start to go, then they can try coming back legally!
