This is what I posted earlier when someone asked if I could prove that there is a God.

Yes I can. Statistically and emphirically there is a God, Creator of the universe. He had a Son who died on the cross, who paid for my sins. I can prove that, and it has been proven, but people still choose to not believe the proof because it would mean that they are accountable to a Creator.

Exhibit A: It is a fact that there is more historical evidence proving that there was a Jesus Christ, that He died on the cross, and rose on the third day than there is evidence that there existed a George Washington and that he was the president of the United States.

Exhibit B: If you are into statistics and good with numbers...the number of prophecies that Jesus fulfilled while on earth is in the hundreds. Most of these prophecies He had no control over (ok, theoretically God has control, but you know what I mean). Example: Born in Bethlehem
If you take the statistics on what the odds are that a random person in history could fulfill all of the prophecies that Jesus fulfilled it forms an astronomical number.

To put this in perspective if you had a one in a hundred odds you could take one hundred pennies, randomly pick the one blue penny in the pile and that's your odds. To put things into perspective for what Jesus did you'd have to have a representation of every atom of all matter in the entire known scientific universe. You'd then have to take each atom, and make a representational model of another entire universe of atoms. If you were then able to randomly pick one atom out of an almost infinite number of universes, and you were to correctly pick the only blue atom, then you would have stood upto the statistical odds that it would take to fulfill all of those prophecies. So yes, not only have I proven it beyond a shadow of a doubt, but I have also proven that I am more sure that there is a God than I am sure of my own name.

Lots of people used to believe that the sun orbited the earth.

Over a billion people believe that Allah is god and Muhammad is his prophet.

Over a billion people believe that Jesus rose from the dead and will also return at the end of the world.

Over a billion people can be wrong.

It doesn't make sense to believe in anything without evidence.

These days people use religion to get money, control resources, and to peddle their own crap theories that stress emotional need but does nothing to further human knowledge. It's a lot like politics, only religion is considered unquestionable by many believers.

way out there , I think our universe was created. I think we as christians thought we would take advantage of the moment and invent the rest of our religious ideas. I do not believe that there is any one religion that is more right than others. I think most people tend to be lemmings.

Yes, God exists and is as real as you allow Him to be! One need only to look around them and marvel at the beauty in this world. Proof? That is what faith is all about. To believe without absolute proof. What would be proof enough for you?

Yes, he is real!! If he isn't nothing will make sense. Thomas Aquinas explained best, "If everything can not exist, then there was a time that nothing existed. and since things cannot make themselves , there has to be a being that created himself and everything in the universe. This being is who men call GOD''

this may not be an exact quote , but you get the point!!!!

Yes, just look around you, do you really think you evolved from a monkey, why aren't monkey's driving caddys, they been around longer. do you think it's possible for all things in nature to form from a chance meeting of a few chemicals from a chance meeting of particles and from a big bang from no known cause , just poof were here from no creator, come on now, we the animals with big brains that walk on two feet are the only species to go into space in so few years when some animals like turtles have been around millions of years.

i believe so. whenever i go to church or pray, i always get this feeling of relief and happiness. how could i get that if nothing was there? wouldn't i just feel.. nothing?

and this little quote changed my life. "if there isnt a God, then christians and athiests alike have lost nothing. if there is, then i've gained everything and nonbelievers have lost everything." -my youth pastor
