No, I personally love the system. The only bad thing is that it doesnt have very many games, but that will change by christmas. I would get one, I like it better than the 360

I regret it and I don't regret it. The reason why I regret it is because I got mine this July and the only decent games out are sports games, so I've been renting the two same games over and over. There won't be any good games until this fall through spring. Just remember that the PS3 hasn't been out even a year yet. That's my only regret; I got the thing too early to enjoy it right now. The games I want don't come out until November 07 and March 08 and my PS3 is collecting dust until November (so in the mean time I'm saving for a HDTV).
The 360 has better game variety right now... When game makers use the PS3's full capability, the games are obvious. The games that are out *right now* aren't using the PS3's full capability. PS3 discs hold over four times as much data than Xbox. It will take time for game developers to make full use. Another thing I like is that on-line play is free with PS3.
Every system has pros and cons; I recommend you do you research before you cough up the cash. I'm not a XBox kind of guy and I am sure as heck not a Wii guy. A con that bothers be slightly about the PS3 is that it won't play video formats other than the one the the system uses (huh?). I can't just transfer a AVI or WMV file to the PS3 and expect it to play. You have to convert the file, which is a slow converter, for it to play on the system. Supposedly, you can install Linux to take care of that.
If you're worried about price, take a look at this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=nhy9hFgoXCI
You'll find out that Xbox is more expensive

Absolutely not. I spent 600 bucks on it when it first came out, and I don't regret buying it because I'm having a lot of fun playing Heavenly Sword. It will hold me over until God of War 3 is released.
The PS3 is the only system that will have Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII, two of the most revered franchises in history. There's also at least 15 new franchises to look forward to, such as Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and LittleBigPlanet.
I don't think the PS3 has any faults. Some people think that the PS3 is lacking in games, but that's expected. The first year of any console will have a shortage of games. It happened to the PSX, the PS2, the Dreamcast, XBX, Gamecube, 360, Wii.
The PS3 is the most advanced system out there, and it will take time for developers to get to know the PS3, but once they get to know the PS3, they can make some incredible games.

I have to agree with the others. I've had my PS3 for a couple months now and have had no problems with. The game selection is great. The games that are coming out look even better. It has internet (360 dont), it has Blu-Ray (360 dont), it has better graphics, it has tilt sensative controllers (360 dont). The 360's tend to over heat very quickly. The PS3 has had no problems of overheating since its launch. It has a bigger price tag cause it comes with everything you need. Its way worth it. With all the accessories for the 360 you have to buy you end up paying the ammount you would've for a PS3. When the PS3 comes w/ EVERYTHING and MORE! Definetly dont regret it and I love it.

No I don’t regret it, not one bit. I know Sony and what they do and it seems like everyone has them figured to be a bunch of flakes just trying too sell these new systems, that have insane prices and a deficient game selection. Yet when I look at these two marketing giants I see their characteristics laid out on the table just from what I have seen so far.
Microsoft makes a great system, I cannot deny that at all, great online gaming, a good selection of games. But to me looking at this system, it is the same as the last one just with a shiny new coat of paint. They are over a year into it and yet the ps3 is already starting to show more intuitiveness.
Sony has it going for them, I think that they are changing things, and the great thing about it is most of the features provided are free! This shows me that they are trying to establish a good foundation of loyal consumers. It looks to me like people are already starting to experiment with the ps3 a lot more so than what I have seen from Microsoft.
Like the guy above me said, it really is great having the internet on the television in the living room. And with the release of home I think that Sony will have Microsoft totally beat in the online aspect to. I feel like I made a good investment that will last strong through out the years, just give it time, give it time.

Right now there are 75 games out for the ps3 and it plays 2400 ps2 games and upscales them to hd.
There are reported to be 300 games coming out throughout the next year..Many of them exclusive.... THis fall rockband comes out and the ps3 version is the only one with a wireless guiter which really helps if you have the gang jammin.
So How could anyone get bored. anyway we have had our for over 9 months and I must say we are still finding cool things you can do with it, I'll be sitting watching tv and a friend will call about movies times and all i do is flip the tv to the channel the ps3 is on and go online on the internet and see when the movie is playing. I check my email and even print some of them right from the ps3..Our local theater website is saved as a bookmark on the ps3 webbrowser... We had a group project for school and four of us used the ps3 internet to search for info...The internet on the big screen so everyone was able to read without hanging over each others shoulders.... We watch youtube in hd How cool is that. The ps3 surprisingly has become apart of our everyday lives...

No way. I waited until last month to get mine since all the relly good games will be coming out now. Just beat Heavenly Sword which looked awesome, but very short beat it in about 3 days maxed all levels out, traded it back in for store credit. Recommend you rent that game out. Warhawk is the best so far. Haze looks great and Call of Duty 4 looks godlike when they come out. That and MGS4 and FFXIII will be coming out next year along with PS Home. No regrets at all on the PS3, i just which the wireless connection was better, I have to use a wireless bridge with my laptop in order to get a better connection with my wireless router.

psthree is probable your extra constructive determination. the two play CD's and DVD's yet Ps3 performs Blu-Rays that's the only intense-Defition action picture format available. 360 helps HD-DVD even though it fell over a year in the past to Blu-Ray. For on line, i might advise Ps3 in case you're casual. as a rule through fact it extremely is unfastened! while Xbox expenses $60 a year. additionally in case you prefer to %. up wireless on your 360, you choose a $a hundred on the spot receptor. Ps3 has one geared up suitable in. the only peripheral it extremely is advisable to purchase for Ps3 is yet another controller. Xbox you choose the wireless element, that's yet another $a hundred suitable there. I actually have a Ps3 and prefer it and especially advise it!

Of course not. I love my PlayStation 3. The faults of getting a PlayStation 3 is that it can't play HD-DVD. That's it. I don't regret buying the PlayStation 3. I only regret the time when I didn't ask a hot girl out on a date. Now, there are so many girls to choose from. It is really hard to pick the right one. Anyways, you should buy the PlayStation 3. It is really worth your money.
