He did go to Hell, and spent Friday night (Good Friday), Saturday, and the earliest part of Easter Sunday morning proclaiming victory over sin, death, and the power of the devil. He did not stay there, however -- which is why we don't have to either.
Have a great night!

Hell is the means by which the disobedient and unrepentant experience God s wrath (Ephesians 2:3). Jesus being without sin (1John 3:5) took the full brunt of God s wrath for us on the cross (Romans 3:5). Jesus completed the atonement on the cross (John 19:30; Colossians 2:14). That is, He paid the debt in full. He did not have to do more in hell. Not putting ones trust in what Jesus did on the cross is what keeps one from the misery of hell. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:1).

One of the Christian creeds has a line that says:
... he descended into Hell, the third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty...
So there is some belief that he, in fact, did enter Hell and I believe that there is at least one Bible passage that talks about Jesus setting captivity free, meaning preaching to the saints in Hell who died before he was crucified and giving them the chance to repent.
But I am not very concerned with this aspect of faith. I am sure others will have better answers.

Eph 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Some believe these verses show that He did descend into the lower parts. The Apostles creed states this. Then when this happened, the graves of the saints opened, and they were seen in the Holy City (Mat 27:53). This is where the saints went from Paradise to Heaven.

His sacrifice, His death was sufficient before the Father to justify all those who place their faith is Christ as Lord.
You seem to have this non-biblical notion that the pain and suffering Christ should have experienced is somehow the cummulative amount that all subsequent mankind will suffer. Again, this is not scriptural.
The only Son of God, the only Man to have ever lived a sinless life, was the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all. On top of that He suffered greatly and died a long, agonizing death. He certainly knows what we all endure from first hand experience.

Jesus did go to hell as do all people who die. Hell is not a place of punishment or torment. It is mankind's common grave.
Acts 2:31---"He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption."
By examining what the Bible really teaches, we learn that Jesus' soul (body) was not left in hell (the grave). His Father in heaven resurrected him after three days.

Unfortunately you are ignorant of scripture. Christ took the sins of the entire world upon himself on the cross. God poured out all his wrath for our sins on his son..
We will never be able to comprehend what he suffered. As far as him going to hell...he did...to proclaim victory!

that is a falsehood in Christianity. He suffered for our sins, he did no longer die for them. interior the backyard and then back on the bypass he bore the sins of mankind on condition that we repent of our sins. you spot each sin ought to acquire a punishment for justice sake. Jesus suffered for those sins so as that shall we declare mercy. Mercy swallows up justice and satisfies that is desires. because of the fact of this Christians declare issues like "Jesus is the only way" to salvation. with out his atonement, we would pay the cost for our very own sins and ought to no longer come again into the gives you of God because of the fact, "no unclean factor" can enter into his gives you as scripture says. the 2d this Christ did for us is supply us a unfastened present. Immortality. each guy or woman born into this international would be resurrected. that's the dying area, the "dieing". He grow to be the "first end results of them that slept". His resurrection from dying made it available for unquestionably everyone to do a similar. He held the "keys" of "dying and hell" and "of the grave". So his dying brings us all back to existence and back into the gives you of God.

God went to Hell for I believe it was 3 days and broke the chains. God made everything therefore He makes up the rules. He wasnt' the one who committed the sin we were. But He paved the way for us to have eternal life. Our nature is to sin therefore we cannot stop "nature."
Blood was shed for sins which was the actual penalty. God laid down His human life for us and we didn't deserve it.
I may not be able to explain this all that good but there are some things that aren't meant to be explained by us.

The wages of sin is death, not life in torment
(Romans 6:23) For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.
The dead rest unconscience in hell., hades, sheol. Awaiting a resurrection.
(Psalm 89:48) What able-bodied man is there alive who will not see death? Can he provide escape for his soul from the hand of She´ol? Se´lah.
(John 5:28-29) Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
(John 11:24-25) Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life;
(Revelation 20:13-14) And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Ha´des gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds. 14 And death and Ha´des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire.
