I am leaving for Germany and want to know if I can take dried morel mushrooms, in checked baggage, on the plane. I can't find any answers on the airline website pertaining to this. Can anyone help me out?

You can usually take in food that is sealed in factory packaging but I would not attempt to take anything that is loose in a zip lock. It will raise suspicion and you dont want these kind of delays

1) Bringing food into the EU is generally not allowed. They are very strict with meat and milk products, less so with fruits and vegetables for personal use. So it is probalbly ok.

2) I don't know anything about morels, if they have a "recreational" use I strongly advice you to leave them at home.
