I've never sinned in my life.

No, no, no, no. Why does it UPSET people? I don't believe in sin. So why does it upset people if I say I've never sinned or that I don't believe in sin? Why is this upsetting to people?

I believe in a god, I just don't believe there are sins.

Sin by contextual definition in the Holy Scriptures means transgression or violation of a commandment of God. It depends on what religious dogma you ascribe to what behaviors constitute sin.
For example, to a Jew whose belief is in the commandments of the eternal covenant as it is stated in their holy scriptures more than fourteen times to be such... it is a serious sin if one were to consider any entity other than the God of Israel ( YHVH ) to be capable of pardoning sin,OR to pray to or through any other entity before God.
To the Christian it is a sin if you do NOT pray through or to Jesus as a divine entity and rely on him to pardon sin. The Hebrew Bible concept of "messiah" ( annointed ruler ) has no such job role for that person. It is a sin to consider that a human king could take on a role in violation of one of the commandments on the tablets given to Moses. Hence..clear example that different DOGMA has different SINS.

The Hebrew Bible does not have a concept that all humans are born into sin. The Christian Bible states that.

One who ascribes to no religion's dogma simply does not have " SIN" to commit.

To the atheist, you have no commandments of any deity so you cannot sin. That doesn't mean you cannot be an evil person or a person who believes in the concept of sin may not consider you sinful.

They get upset because they're ignorant of the meaning of the word.

Too many people have a mistaken notion that sin is a synoym for anything bad ( pun intended there, too )

Just because something may be distasteful to you or your way of worship doesn't mean it is a universal sin.

Right after I posted the above..there was an edit to the question saying they ask WHY are people upset. I answered that already originally, they are upset because of ignorance of meanings.. they are mistaking sin for meaning anything evil..and Christians don't want to accept that it depends on what religion's dogma you ascribe to what BEHAVIOR constitutes sin.

Believe me you have sinned and by saying you haven't sinned is a lie therefore you have sinned. And I'm assuming as a child you disobeyed your parents and stolen something from another child. The only one who hasn't sinned is Christ. Good luck on that one you are no where even close to God.

How can you believe in God but don't believe there is something called sin? What would be the whole point of Satan than and people ending up in hell? Doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Probably because the first letter of John says that if we say that we have no sin, then we call God a liar.

Everyone is good in their own eyes -- even Al Capone and Adolph Hitler said the exact same thing. We are all biased.

===edit===

Saying that you don't believe in sin is different than saying that you never did anything wrong.

You didn't clarify what you meant, and I suppose that you are just as confusing in real life. That is probably why people get angry.

To be completely honest, I think it would be the fact that in the bible it tells us that every human is born with original sin. Im not upset with you at all, I dont necessarily believe you because in the last 2,000 years only one person is said to have died without sin (Jesus' mother Mary). Saints and other holy people have sinned, Mother Theresa sinned. I have a hard time believing that someone as holy as you claim to be could live without any such publication. Maybe a church recognizing you publicly, or maybe you writing a how to book on how to not sin. I hope your not taking this as me being upset, I really am truely happy for you if you have lived a sin-free life. But you being so holy would have to understand from a sinners mind, it would be hard to believe someone who can live without temptations. In my 19 years on this earth I have sinned many times. I have taken the lords name in vien multiple times, probably 30 to 130 times per day. I have had sexual intercourse with a woman before marrage, I have only gone to church for 1/3 of my life, and even in that 1/3 I missed probably half of those times because I simply didnt feel the need to go. I have never met a child who has told the truth to their parents from the day they could talk. Every kid has told atleast a little white lie, and most kids lie regularly to escape the trouble they would be in if they told the truth. I just find it hard to believe you have lived a "perfect" life in the eyes of God..

well, people probably get upset because they're frustrated and don't know how to properly defend their beliefs and therefore resort to frustrated and maybe sometimes angry ways of trying to communicate.

if you don't believe in sin, then the problem we have isn't to prove that you HAVE sinned... but to show that sin exists. first, lets define what "sin" is... according to general Christian belief, it is simply rebellion against God. I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say that you also don't believe in God? if that were true and there were no God, then there would be no way to rebel against Him, and therefore no sin.

so, in essence, this question doesn't come down to whether or not you have sinned... it comes down to one of the most basic questions in the universe... "does God exist?"

which i will not take the toil to answer at this point in time, but suffice it to say that i do believe He does indeed exist.

You may be astral traveling edit: Yep, I definitely believe that when we go to sleep, our spirits leave us, and there are times we may go someplace or meet someone in spirt, and then in real life if we ever were to meet them or come across the same place, it would be the strangest feeling of dejavu. I've had that feeling sometimes, and when I meet those people, we usually click instantly. But life is full of mysteries eh? That's what makes it so interesting. lol

simply because we are born sinners for those who believe, and for those who aren't it's just sound irritating that you are bragging you have never sinned, by the way are you a human! coz it's a human nature to have sin even on it's smallest way.
