I really want a puppy. I would prefer a small dog under 12 lbs. when full grown. I also want a puppy that is inexpensive itself. One last thing is I want a puppy that is relaxed but can be hyper very good at listening and very very x 1million cute!!

Thank,
blabbieabbiew

My advice is to go to your local pound or Humane Society. Some pet stores have days where they have puppies that you can adopt. Around our area it is Petco.
I would say that chihuahuas are maybe what you are looking for. They are low maintenance and a fun doggie to have around.

I agree 1000% with "A Gal and Her Dog" go to your local shelter. Find one that's a small breed and when you find the one you're destined for, you'll know it. Dogs aren't really born knowing tricks and have to be taught, so find one you like aestehtically, then go from there. I've adopted the two most AMAZING dogs from my local animal shelter and I couldn't be happier. Just make sure you have the time to protect, train, and manage your new friend. The expectations for your new dog are high so you've got to put in just as much as you want in return. GOOD LUCK!

I know how u feel. I want a puppy too. I had a wonderful Jack Russell mix that died last year. I ws told he was different, because Russell's are usually hyper. I adopted him from the humane shelter. I would like to adopt another, but the fees are soo high now. OOOOOps, back to your q. I would like a min Dach, poodle or chihuahua

You should definitely get a maltese. They are petite, gorgeous...and have a great personality. And you can find them kinda cheap. But you dont want to go too cheap...because that reflects on the breeder and how well bred the dog is. But a maltese definitely sounds good for you. Dont let anyone talk you into a yorkshire terrier!! I am a dog groomer/vet assistant...and they are holy terrors!

A black lab is a wonderful dog to get! I grew up with two black labs and they were my favorite. They are the most sweetest dog you ever met. When I was kid my sister, brother and I used to stick our fingers in our dogs nose because we didn't know better. Well the dog didn't mind it. That's how sweet she was. Yes, black labs can get hyper!! Black labs are great at catching balls or a sticks. They make perfect pets!! Their great with children and other people. When they are puppies they do like to chew on things. When they get older they stop chewing on stuff. I love black labs and I miss two my family once owned!! Have fun picking a dog!!

A quality puppy will cost you a lot initially. If you want a more laid-back dog, I'd get an adult dog. Go to your local shelter and/or check petfinder.com for small dogs in your area. Rescuing saves lives and trust me, your new dog will listen and love you to pieces.

I think all dogs are cute to the zillionth power.

You could try a Yorkie, some can get expensive, but if you look around you should be able to find one that is relatively inexpensive(for dog breeds). I would ask your local vet and visit a shelter to get an idea of what you want.

p.s. border collies can get up to 40lbs and labs get even bigger for those who suggested that.

Go to a local shelter. They have dogs who NEED good homes. A dog there needs a home, save a life, usually it is free to adopt one. A yorkie, or a chiuahaua might be what you are looking for. There might be some at the shelter if you check. It is better to look yourself than to have others tell you what dog is best for you. good luck!

I recommend a bichon mix. Kneel down , call the puppies and the first one that comes running to you is the one. Bichons are smart, hyper at play , cute and laid back lap dog.
