It isn't a matter of a man thinking he can improve on the ten commandments, but God himself through the new covenant, where it is the spirit of the law, and no longer the letter.
It is a better covenant with better promises.

As a heathen, I'm more a fan of the Nine Noble Virtues . . . but they're more guidelines than *commandments.*

I personally think the one about coveting your neighbours donkey is a little out dated.
If your parents had been mass murderers (children of the Nazis) could you honour them.

It bothers me there's nothing in the 10 commandments refuting violence against women and children.

I dont think God needs your help,He knew what He was doing when He made the Ten commandments,Its dangerous to play God.

Since half of them have nothing to do with us and have everything to do with feeding god's ego, I absolutely could improve on them.
