We're both asians/cantonese speakers but my parents are too busy in their work to send me off to chinese school. I speak cantonese in my home, but only simple stuff, with some bad sentences. I speak english better because I watch english shows (the oc, the hills...) more than chineses, and it's not like I can understand the chinese dramas.

So what do I do?

Smile a lot. And say everything is good -- their son, the food, the house, everything. That should take care of it.
