According to the theory of evolution we did not evolve from apes people. We had a common ancesstor. I'm tired of people getting this mixed up.

Maybe they did. I didn't.

what would you call the common ancestor of all apes? what type of animal is it? is it an ape, perhaps? the statement 'humans evolved from apes' lacks precision, but it is accurate. one might conclude from it that humans evolved from modern apes, and that would be incorrect (as you point out, we evolved from a common ancestor species that is now extinct) but it does not mean the statement is false. if they said humans evolved from monkeys though, that would be false.

I'm more tired of people telling me that the universe was made in a week.
In the creation fable the sun was made on a different day from light.
Explain that.
Maybe creationists were made in one week and they haven't caught up brain-wise with the rest of us

The same reason they think Evolution is the survival of the fittest.
Homos Neanderthal was faster, smarter and stronger than Erectus, and yet we won the war.

properly that could be a loaded question. i'm not sure what you have faith, yet once you're actually not an athiest, i'm not sure that insulting them will help them see your factor. playstation , the only guy or woman to return from Adam's rib replaced into Eve.

You can say it until you're blue in the face, but
#1--They're not going to listen to you because they have no interest in learning what the theory of evolution actually says, and
#2--They're not going to listen to you because they enjoy posting that argument. It's them desperately clinging to the straw man argument, because they have nothing else to offer.

Don't worry, their new gig here is to say "what evidence is there for evolution?". I guess we could expect that for asking for proof of God, it is in the same vein...but, they can't honestly expect us to give them a biology course in a few sentences, can they...CAN THEY?

We didn't evolve from apes - we are apes.

Do you understand evolution?

We evolved from amoebas and eventually became who we are today. What type of primate do you think we were before we became humans?

Where is your information coming from?
