how do you get a hair braid not to mess up????

everytime i do my hair is a braid, it messes up like 20 mins later no matter how tight i make it. how do you fix this and make the braid stay put??

when i say it messes up i mean random hairs start coming out

how does it mess up? if the hair is everywhere try putting some gel into your hair then braiding it. if it curls up then straighten your hair

when you brake your hair into individual chunks, twist each section then braid it togther.
