My 4 year old has had thining hair for a t least a year now. The doc doesn't seem to know why. (maybe it's because she never see's the same one?) I've checked everyhting online and she doesn't have any of the symptoms of the conditions that cause hair loss. She had bald spots at one point but htey have kind of filled in. She also had really dry scalp, but that too has somewhat cleared up. I want to know if any one has any suggestions? She asks me why she doesn't have long hair like me and it makes me feel really bad for her. Her hair is so thin I really can't even put it in a pony tail or style it other than just leaving it down which only makes her feel worse about her hair. Also, I have tried vitamins in case it was a problem with nutrition but it didn't seem to make a difference. Please help! She will be starting school next year and I don't want her to be teased.

its called alopecia, and it could very well have to do with stress.. my daughter had the same thing when she was about five.. come to find out, my now ex wife was taunting and trying to mind$uck the child..

if she is in an environment someplace(strife at home, babysitter, preschool, extended family, or friends) where somebody may be causing some kind of mental, emotional, or physical stress, consequently, causing her to internalize her emotions.. if she is stressed at four, if whatever the causation, if it isnt ceased very soon, youll most likely have a very troubled child on your hands.. these problems, later in life can cause personality disorders, anxiety, depression, and the list goes on!!

be a better parent than i was and get the poor kid to a clinical child psychologist!!

just saw your note.. most insurance will allow a second opine.. you need to get her to a psychiatrist, and he/she will give you a referral.. they really arent that expensive if you shop around(depending on your local demographics).. the going rate where i live is about 75 for the first visit, and 50 after that.. do not shy away from the temporary use of what meds doctor suggests as she really needs to get her brain functioning properly.. these drugs are not your mothers valium, but they actually work with the brain chemistry, to get her noggin unfoggin!!

If so it might be scorching spots and also you might have to get a scorching spot medication from a puppy retailer and turn to a prime high-quality meals, like Avo-Derm or Pinnacle (now not side of up to date recollect). It might even be mange which will have to be checked via a vet they are going to regularly have you ever supply it a sulfur dip (smells relatively dangerous however works) I might discover a low priced vet to your subject and take her to.
