My husband made a scavenger hunt for me. I had to do all the clues ( all 30 of them ) and the prize at the end was his proposal. All the clues were things that we had done while we were dating and places we had gone together. It was was the sweetest and most creative proposal ever!

My fiance did it in a very funny way. he proposed around Chrismas. He put the ring in a big box with Stone, so when I shook it I thought it was something big like a WII. But when it came time to open it, I saw the stones and a foil box. A card on top of it said "Here is the round shiny thing you wanted." I opened that box and the ring box was in there. I laughed and cried all at the same time. Not so much romantic but it was different.

Mine was kinda cheesy but who gets this? My family was planning a trip to Italy. I convinced them to let my BF come for a while because it was going to be our 4 year anniversary while we were gone. He told my mom about a month before we went that he wanted to propose, and if she thought it was a good idea. We had planned an overnight trip to Venice for our anniversary. We got there rented a gondola and he proposed shortly after we took off. 5 minutes later, he got a bloody nose, which freaked out our gondolier. Then we docked, and it started pouring rain, and later that night I got a bunch of spider bites that swelled up all over my hands and arms. It was memorable to say the least, and I would change anything about it.

It was the stuff of dreams, to be sure. A fancy dinner, then a drive to a park at nighttime that was right on the lakeshore, the park paths were lined with scented candles that led to a little alcove where there were vases of roses and pillar candles. And he spoke so honestly about how much he loved me. I love telling the story about it.

My man hasnt "officially" proposed......we have decided to get married. Decided on a date and booked the celebrant and stuff. He still wants to give me a ring, I have to be patient because he wants to suprise me with it when I least expect it.....grrrrrrrrrrr....but I dont think I will get the full on corny proposal, but then you never know.
Some proposal stories sound very romantic, but some are just sooooo icky!!!
Good luck

We were getting ready to meet my parents for dinner and I was checking myself in our mirror. I ran my hand through my hair and noticed my ring i had on was dirty, so i was going to go intot he bathroom and clean it. He asked to see it, which I thought was weird, but well...if you know my fiance you wouldn't think anything of it. He looked at it really fast and I was kinda looking from where I was standing into the bathroom to try and figure out where I had put my cleaner. A few seconds later he grabbed my hand and slipped THE ring on my finger really quickly without my seeing it somehow and said "hurry up we're gonna be late" I then realized he had slipped my ring back onto my finger instead of handing it to me. I looked down and realized I wasn't wearing my ring but my engagement ring.

I thought it was really cute, nothing I ever expected, he said he had wanted to save it for the park but figured he would have slipped up by the time dinner was done so he took the opportunity and ran with it.

We went to a vineyard we enjoyed a few hours from home as a nice daytirp. The woman serving the wine said we were in luck because they were featuring a special wine that day, and she turned the bottle around, and the label read "M, Will you marry me? Rich...and the ring was hanging from the bottle. I was totally surprised and thrilled! They popped a bottle of champagne for us and everyone there clapped for us...it was one of the best days of my life so far.

My fiancee proposed on stage at a local country bar we frequent. It was completely unexpected, I had no idea. He got down on one knee, told me he loved me, held out the ring and asked me if I would mind spending the next year planning a wedding. I"m sure some thought it was cheesy but it was special to us for our own reasons.

to me a proposal is a romantic and a very intimate moment not to be shared with anyone - so ours was perfect.
we had gone for a walk in the woods, it started to rain, and he just stopped and put his arms around me said he loved me and would i consider being his wife forevermore.
it was lovely and sweet and happened over 40 years ago and here we are, 4 kids later, 3 grandkids later, still in love and happy in our wee corner of the world.
