He is not functional on the concerta, it needs to be changed. When life is being interfered by issues its time to medicate. I do not take medication lightly, any less invasive technique should be exhausted first. If he were my son, I would do the counseling, and get the concerta changed. I would keep him on meds. Most of the suicidal ideation that is increased from meds is meds that are in another class, the SSRI's (prozac) For kids like this, what I would suggest as first drug of choice would be vyvanese. Maybe with xanex too 0.25mg as needed. My 8 yr old son is not yet medicated. The stimulants are what med is first reached for, and I do not think they would be good for my son. He does have anxiety, but also is labile, and poor attention. Also has an IEP. He has had xanex before the dentist but thats it. He has a PDD.NOS dx, and ADD.NOS dx, but I suspect part of the issue is he is an undx bipolar which a stimulant would make him manic-y. My son has two friends a boy age 7 and a girl age 9, both have been successful on vyvanese when ritalin, adderral, focalin, concerta, risperdal all have not. They both have anxiety, learning disorders, a PDD.NOS dx, and ADD dx.

Hi. Glad to help out. The belief that "good" people go to heaven and that "bad" people go to hell is a commonly held belief.
Notice however what the Bible says is the penalty for sin at Romans 6:23.
Yet, another question that may rise is if one is still subject to further punishment for ones sins after death? The Bible again answers at Romans 6:7.
There are many scriptures that can be used to prove that the Bible does not support the idea commonly held about a fiery place of torment. Do you think that such a kind of torment is compatible with a God of love? (1 John 4:8)
What would you think of a parent who held his child's hand over a fire to punisht the child for misbehaving?Would God do what no right-minded human parent woud do?
On the other hand notice the promise that is held out to the meek or righteous ones. Please see Psalms 37:9-11.
It is good for your son to ask such questions. And even though only 6 yrs. children notice and learn very quickly. I would like to encourage you to speak with one of Jehovah's Witnesses in person for a more detailed answer... I know they would be glad to help.

Hi....
This child is too young, to be forced into religion!
In your question, you stated:
'my son just asked me if he is naughty will jesus send him to hell?'
Then you stated:
'my son knows about the rapture but he is only 6 yrs old'
It is obvious that this child has already started to be brainwashed, he has NOT picked up your religious views, from a light from heaven, he has been told or overheard your views!
In my view, this type of in-doctrine, while still at such a young age, is unforgivable.
Let the child make his own mind up about what is, or is not, at least that way, you 'could' have a clear conscience, that you have not forced him, into what you believe, for your 'own' selfish reasons!!
The rapture and salvation, are something that are untruths, it is only a belief, a faith, do you really want your child, to believe this?
Think about it, long and hard, or are 'you' too brainwashed also??

Kelly; Tell Isaiah; That all of some times feel like this. But if we have Jesus in our hearts, all we need to do is ask Jesus to forgive us. Show Isaiah John 3:16, Romans 3:21-26, Eph. 1:7 and 1 John 1:9. This will help you explain it to Isaiah. Also, if you want to have Isaiah talk to your Pastor.

Why not ask yourself if there is anything your son could do that would deserve eternal torment by being burned for eternity and yet not die. Next ask yourself if you would not do such a thing than why would God. Then divorce yourself from the beliefs you were brought up with because if you wouldn't do such a thing then why would a loving God. Lastly, study the bible for yourself...you might be surprised at the truth.

But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." A child doesn't really know sin. But they need to be taught the importance of obedience. Not that they are going to hell. But, that they will learn to obey Yahushua and learn to obey parents.
Obedience to parents is important for a child to learn love and respect. That same conviction as an adult will lead them to being better people. People who obey Yahweh. And do we need them!
Just teach the child to obey you as you obey Yahushua because you love and respect Him.

Good actions don't get you into heaven, bad actions can be forgiven if you repent. The way to heaven is by asking Jesus to come into your heart and save you. No one could ever be good enough to make it to heaven in their own right. It takes Jesus cleaning us up that saves us.

If your son believes that Jesus, who is God, died for his sins on the cross and rose again, then your son will never go to hell.

Well he can't go to hell until he is confirmed. And also tell him if he does something wrong to pray for forgiveness before he goes to bed.
