Why not! At 65 yrs. old my dad had gone through 5 Corvettes. A 57, 66, 71 including a 67 425 hp 427 and a 73 - 454. He had a couple of hot Chevelles also a 69 375 hp. 396 and a 70 LS-6 454. Prior to the Chevelles was a 66 Impala convertible with a 390 hp 427.
Prior to this stuff were 3 Oldsmobile's and a luke warm 63 Impala convertible with a 300 hp. 327.
Today he's 86 and drives a Cadillac with the tiny but tough Northstar motor.

I have owned a supra for close to 9 years now and have gone to many of the events. I have seen several older people that are very much into these cars. It is a hobby. Everyone likes different cars.
Mine has a little over 600rwhp and until you own/drive one, you really wont understand.

You will find that some of the more serious tuners are older. I personally know a guy that 56 and has a 650 HP acura NSX. I myself am 29, have a 99 civic EX with a B16 swap, completley built from the crank up, sleeved, turboed and puts down 497 HP at 25 PSI on 92 octane pump gas.

Hi
I'm 51 and own a Supra, 1984 model 5 spd with aftermarket turbos running about 325HP. These Supras simply will not die. Plus it's fun to run down the younger folks in thier 5.0 Mustangs and Camaros. If you ever get the chnace to drive one with more than 200hp,,,,you'll know why we drive them,,,,simply put a BLAST

if the car suits him, and is comfortable for him, why should he not drive that car.
Some old people have been driving all there lives, and proberley know more about driveing or riding motorcycles than you do .

Old people are rich after social security benefits and retirement. At least we don't seem them hanging around the clubs.
